Great content but the constant camera spins and pans and motion was a bit much, made me nauseous at some points and you couldn't really see the product that well. Just some clear shots of the product would have been a lot nicer

I just got my first 4 Govee light bulbs and absolutely love them! They inspire my imagination and creativity.. I Can't wait to get knowledgeable and comfortable with the tech so that I can do more with my living space. My next project is strip lights for back-lighting my TV under cabinet strip lights for the kitchen and a Govee floor lamp. I'm so glad I got those first row 4 bulbs - that purchase has taken me into a whole new, fun and artistic home decorating world to explore and create. Wonderful! Kate

First off love your channel! Great reviews and info. I'm a tech nerd also. Look into WLED and loading it on to a ESP32 board. Then order WS2812B led strips...BTF Lighting makes great rolls of LED's cheap. Im a huge LED enthusiast too and After I found these I was blown away at performance and cost. All you need is a lil soldering skill, which anyone can do with a 15 dollar soldering iron. Im telling you bud ...WLED is the future of lighting and it's free!

What if I want to use the outdoor lights indoors? Main reason being is I need a long, uninterrupted run of lights to use all the way around my 10'x14' studio. I figure a couple strands would do it. But if not I could use at least one strand to surround the front wall of it. Just curious if there's any reason to go against using the outdoor strands indoors.

Just bought TWO of the Govee RGBIC 100ft light strips model number H618F (thinking I had ordered the M1 version, after watching a KZfaq video about them) I was disappointed that the stand is only 30 LEDs per meter, unlike the 60 LEDs featured on the M1. But aside from that, I'm considering keeping them, BUT they'll really only serve my purpose IF THEY CAN BE SPLICED. These are said to not be cuttable, but I figured with the smart minds here experimenting, it is likely possible... I would use the entire strips, but just want to jump sections around the room where I don't want the lighting. Anyone have first-hand knowledge of these particularly lights, as it relates to splitting?

I have a question - what do you make of the data that the Govee app tells you it needs to *link* to in order to make a few lights flash? Does it really need to link to your health and fitness data? Is it possible to use Govee lights directly from Alexa or Apple Home without the Govee app? Thanks!

In the Apple App Store, the Govee Home app has, in the privacy section, under “Data Linked to You”, a list of the data items that the Govee Home app may collect and be linked to your identity, namely Identifiers, User Content, Contact Info and *Health & Fitness*. The Hue app doesn’t link to any data. I have a Govee floor lamp and table lamp in their boxes, but giving them permission to access my health and fitness data is making me think I should send them back unopened. It just seems rather OTT to me. Cheers!

Depends what your goal is. The Neon rope light is aimed for outdoor use, I believe they make a shorter indoor version. Check the website through the links!

Don't bother with the strips, far cheaper just to buy spools of WS2812B's and a ESP32. That and WLED is compatible with SignelRGB and openRGB. Camera on the backlight kit also makes zero sense to me, you can just pull the signal data from the HDMI/Dport.

The Cylinder Floor Lamp looks so goofy...dont get the point of that lamp. Its ugly and doesnt emmit that nice lighting. The two other floor lamps look much better and have a much greater lighting!
