A cool build is the Grave Scythe with Frost affinity, Loretta’s Slash, pump INT till 60s, lots of fun

That’s my build! I’ve started pumping the rest of my points into strength. Frost procs really fast. Trying to get bleed higher.

I'm late but my first build I used dual grave scythes one with frost and blood flame blade on my main hand

I recommend trying spinning strikes for damage (it’s quite good with BFB). For more fun the faith ones. 🤘

Grave Scythe is the ONLY weapon I've used so far lol, I'm on my first playthrough and using it until I get to RoB and dual wield it with either Nagakibe or another katana for a bleed/cold build.

Great video! Grave Scythe is my favourite weapon and it's good to see it getting some love. I mainly use dual Grave Scythes in a jump attack build. Main hand: Cold Grave Scythe with sword dance AOW (very good for activating frost). Left hand: Heavy Grave Scythe with sacred blade AOW. I rarely use the sacred blade AOW but it's great against "those who live in death". Can't wait for the DLC!

I'm doing similar to you but not using this sacred blade. Did you already try phantom slash AOW? the spinning weapon is a good AOW too

@@Salahuoneen_lapsi you have to defeat an enemy tô get this AOW. It's a very good option to make your way into an enemy or just take distance

currently going through my first playthrough in elden ring doing something very similar with a cold grave scythe with spinning weapon, power stancing another grave scythe, but i'm not sure if using an aow like that was sacrificing damage from my jump attacks and if there was a better thing to focus on, also were you maxing dex or strength for power stancing scythes? i really can't figure out what would do more.

New sub, love this channel and your main, srsly think you’re the top content creator on Elden Ring. Such a clear thinker on game mechanics and you helped make it so much more fun for me. I love the Grave Scythe in my faith/strength build! I use Sword Dance for open world and quicker bosses - it can really feel like a dance with bosses and some enemies like Elemer, Crucible Knights and Bloodhound Knights. You didn’t mention the gap closing, which is great for a comfortable midrange play style for ppl who panic and like to keep some distance like myself. And then Spinning Strikes w/ Bloodflame Blade for anyone from dragons to Mohg who will let me get 3-4 hits in at a time. Probably the build I’m taking into DLC, I love the power and variety with just one weapon

While I like the basic spinning slash for damage, I have an unreasonable love for option select ashes like spinning strikes

I like do play two Grave Scythes: The one with chilling mist and the other with poison mist then u have poison,bleed and frost. With Lords of blood Talisman, claw talisman, kindred of rot exultation and the 4 one is flexibel. For variety u can also cast dragon incantations for more Status effects

I love trying different builds and I choose one usually from your videos every playthrough. I would love to see more off-meta and fun builds. Maybe daggers could shine for a bit?

An interesting ash of war for it that doesn't get talked about too often is spinning weapon, it doesn't have a lot of range and it's not that good when below lvl 200 but generally for ng+7 that's a fine level. It absolutely shreds everything that can bleed in ng+7 with bloodflame blade.

Yep successive attacks & bleed usually do. Deff reliable for NG+ and beyond too, agreed 👍

@@ramkris012 it's not that it doesnt work, there's just generally better builds at those levels.its still good since its successive attacks and bleed. YourAverageGamer even made a video making a spinning weapon build early game.

@@Necrowarp_ ah I see.. I'm trying to make a grave scythe build work for lvl 100. I've been trying str/bloodflame + spinning weapon but idk if there's a more damaging aow I can go instead

@@ramkris012 will still be really good and scale well, check out average gamers recent ash of war build tier lists and he usually has a spinning weapon grave scythe build on there you can use.

I’ve found a grave scythe the other day and got really far with it and I’ve found a really powerful build with it I used the ash of war phantom slash from the nights cavalry from the forbidden lands and put frost on it my scythe is +20 and it shreds and boss or enemy I come across

what do you think about occult affinity for the grave scythe? Your frequent bleeds from bloodflame blade with the innate blood loss build up from the scythe wil probably be collosal and with investing all yoru stats into arcane your spells will actually melt with the dragon communion seal

There is also another fun one that most don't use and that is the spining wep that use can use both on staff and scythe and with that you hit several times very fast and with bladeflame it is bassicly press l2 to bleed them

Sometimes I like to meme around with dual grave sythes and twinblade talisman trying to land the all 3 hits on the L1 chain for that 45% damage boost on the third one.

Hey matt, great content as usual, dual grave scythes with wild strikes in fire affinity was a fun playthrough for me. I'd like to see what AR and ashes you could do with dual ripple blades you could come up with as a suggestion for fun mate 👍

Phantom Slash is still fantastic even though the clone doesn’t proc bleed. The high AR of the scythe makes the damage great!

That would work well too. Bloodflame has been patched out of phantom slash though, as only innate or blood/occult affinity works. 🤘
