So, for the new school year I got a pair of oldskool vans, let’s just say that I’m not good at lacing them without a video, so I followed a video and did everything perfectly, except when the guy said that it’s best to lace them while wearing them... I didn’t listen... now the only way I can put them on is if I stomp my feet like crazy, crush the life out of the heels, and then pull the back of the heels out from under my feet without my foot coming out. It’s a decently tricky skill to learn in my opinion, and I literally have to pull on the heels so hard for so long that I’m actually straining my body and am afraid that I’m going to pull a muscle. I think I’ve even come close to spraining a couple fingers before.

Do you have access to a longer shoehorn? I have a shoe horn by a company called Pavers, it is around 15-16". It gives you access to more angles and a more even weight distribution. I think it's designed for the elderly, but I myself am not elderly. I use it to out on my 90s a number of times a week.
