In my opinion the scariest place in southern CA is the gas station. $4.60 a gallon adds up quick

I second Suicide Bridge in Pasadena. Take the stairs down to the Arroyo and walk around at night. You might see some shades in period dress. Hotel Green in Pasadena. Several apartments are haunted and they sometimes have a haunted tour in October. The iPic Theater in Old Town Pasadena. Old Town is known for being full of basements. The iPic is in a basement. One of the theaters is reportedly so haunted that workers (heard this from previous workers from when it was an AMC and a Laemmle theater) refuse to clean it alone. There's also a ghost of a little girl in one of the bathrooms. Pasadena is relatively old compared to LA and is riddled with hauntings. I live in an old bungalow court that has had several mysteries over the years. One of my old units was haunted by a dog or cat that would jump on my mattress on the floor at the time and nudge my face. It was a dark shape that did so. Another apartment was so haunted that one night lights and other objects would start breaking and the light outside started flickering on and off. The occupants were so freaked out, they called me over. They saged the place and this calmed the entity. Their cats would freak out over a particular corner of the house and unknown foul smells emanated from underneath the home that they could never track down. There's also an abandoned mental asylum and cemetery in the very north of the Valley. Bodies over the years were dug up and posed with cigarettes in mouth. I've also heard of a cemetery(?) north of LA somewhere that is haunted with numerous red eyes (a bad sign) that would pinch you if you dared stray in at night. Thanks for this and have fun! no1ukn0

@@chicanoduke Yes, I've been there for a video on my channel. As for the story being true, that's up for debate, as the LA Times article about it was written by "Norman Bates". As always, it's fun to tag along with you on these haunted outings. The creepiest place I've been to in California is probably Preston Castle in Ione (featured in an entertaining episode of The Lowe Files) Living in San Jose, I've been to the Winchester Mystery House several times, but I never got much of a "haunted" vibe from it. I always found the architecture and craftsmanship to be the most interesting aspect of the place.

Fun, fun, fun!!! As usual!! As a teen I used to hike to Fish Canyon Falls in Duarte CA at least once a month. My friends and I always thought the area was haunted. Strange feelings, sounds, dreams while spending the night camping there. Years later I learned about Hughes Airwest Flight 706 that crashed in that general area back in 1971. Could have something to do with the strange feelings I always got while hiking there?? Then again, somebody died anywhere you can go, possibly..... Cool video!!! Keep on keeping on!!!

Well, there’s Black Star Canyon. It’s a nice hiking trail but we never made it to the “ruins” further up because we got too warm and we were out of shape! But supposedly that’s a haunted trail. And the Katie Wheeler Library in Irvine. Nice quiet little library, part of a historic site. The Historic Yorba Cemetery has tales of a pink lady. And the Queen Mary is a given, though it’s a tragedy in itself in its current state. Downtown Fullerton seems to have a ghost in every other building even though it’s gone all trendy. I’d mention Peg Entwhistle at the Hollywood sign, but that falls under the Griffith Park umbrella. Also the Cecil Hotel in LA, though if you search “haunted hotel LA” you get a whole list! Oh, and the Linda Vista Community Hospital. So many abandoned hospitals have the rumors, of course. I have also come across suggestions of hauntings at the LA Arboretum. Going further out of course there’s the Whaley House in San Diego. I didn’t find it supernatural, myself… most of my discomfort could be traced to three things… it was dark, cramped and stuffy. Even the tour guide’s endless tales of tragedy didn’t get me seeing ghosts. But it’s one of the top haunted sites in the country. And there’s also the Hotel Coronado. Blue lady for that one, I believe.

I have 2 to suggest in the Pasadena area. Colorado street bridge crossing the arroyo seco. known as the Suicide bridge. This location was used by many people as a stepping off point for the next world. And the Rialto Theater, in South Pasadena. Known for many hauntings and weird experiences. I have experienced some of them myself.

There's A local tale of a ghost here in ventura County Along Highway 126, east of Ventura, in the Fillmore area, there is a lone sycamore tree found at the end of Sycamore Road, where it meets the highway. According to the legend, people have encountered a lone Lady in White there. She has often appeared, fog shrouded, seeming to float a few inches off the ground. Usually, she appears faceless, but at times she has appeared entirely normal, even quietly accepting rides "home" only to later, on the drive, mysteriously vanish. Her ghostly form all dressed in white is translucent, often disappearing into mist before her horrified viewers. Some stories claim she was killed in a car accident, while others say she was hung from the tree during the Mexican-American War.

I’d suggest the Magic Castle Hotel is haunted. We were upgraded to a suite due to a malfunctioning toilet in a ground floor room. My husband and I were too uneasy to actually sleep at the hotel, so we drove home. We drove back the next day to attend a costume party at the Magic Castle itself. We went back to the hotel after the party to change and my husband couldn’t get the front door closed fast enough when we were leaving. He had a feeling of someone inside rushing towards the front door. It’s an old apartment building, so yeah, it’s creepy. I’d say check it out!
