Always look forward to the monthly top fives! So much fun. As it happens, I have three of these and am using them happily, especially Liz. I used to wear it when i was a teenager and loved it, and still do! Congrats again on 10k!!!! I knew you could do it!!

Dacob, I cannot say it enough how much I adore you. This review made me laugh out loud many times. You just have a natural way of talking that is so charming and sweet. I can only imagine what you are like around your friends and family, they must really have a great time when they are around you. I LOVED Liz Clairborne. I wore her clothes and fragrances. Her clothes were beautiful. The other day I saw Eden on Amazon and I immediately thought of you because I remember a review you did on it. I was tempted to purchase it. Now, I know I am going to.

I concur with everything you said about Dacob. He’s a darling! Someone you can have tea with by day or a Martini by night and he will give us that shoulder pads and big hair don’t care with 🍸 in your hands and talk about walk of shame gossip 😂😂😂 he is just that “girl” for us. He’s so poetic Love him too!

Your scent descriptions are like poetry- as always-gorgeous!. Great list! I wear Pure Poison almost daily for work. There's something about it that makes me feel put together.I've been eyeing Eden for some months now. I've heard so many strong reactions about the fragrance that it has me curious to experience it

Oh wow...I totally see the connection between #5 L'Eau and Pure Poison!! Great observation Dacob!! I'm a huge fan of #5 L'Eau and I'm very fond of Pure Poison as well. I haven't managed to buy a bottle of Pure Poison yet. Hopefully I can get the one with the white top, as opposed to the new one, with the purple top. Thanks for the heads up about the OG versus the current version. Good to know!!

OMG.I loved Pure Poison. I literally have 2 drops left in my original bottle. I own the hair mist, too, and this is superior to the current awful version. Dior Homme and the sport version is my must have on a man.

Oh yes, current pure poison formula is in my opinion really tragic. I cannot stand it in its current formulation.

Thank you for your picks. I was thinking recently, 'what smells summery, and beachy and blue and slightly salty'? I love the ocean, and during the summer I don't usually wear perfume in the traditional sense. I like musk and vanilla oils, or frangipani. My real preference is to be scented by lotion and body butter. Almost always coconut, pineapple, cocoa & shea butters. If I could breathe cocoa butter and pineapple all day, that would be bliss. Oh, and since you mentioned Giorgio, I was at CVS the other day going up and down the beauty aisles. I saw some familiar yellow and white stripes on a plastic spray bottle so I had to look. It was Giorgio of BH...as a BODY SPRAY MIST! 😱🙀 Whaaaaat? Right there with all the Calgon ones. What is our world coming to when Giorgio becomes body mist? 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

They have had Giorgio body mist and body cream and shower gel for many many years already. Those are available in addition to the eau de toilette. 🥰

I love Liz Claiborne.. I saw a gorgeous Liz Clairborne vintage dress in perfect condition but when I tried it on but it was too small.. the waists in those days were tiny .

Such a wonderful monthly overview-as always! When you become anosmic to a scent do you stop using it for a time? Does that help? I’ve become anosmic to Chanel aldehydes 😢😮I guess I’ll switch to a totally different concept for a bit?

Thank you Jessi 💖 Others still smell the perfumes on you even though you no longer smell them on yourself so you can keep using them, knowing that the smell is still there, just not perceptible to you. If you want to get rid of the anosmia for at least a bit, then I do recommend not wearing your perfumes for a while. Even over a month in some cases, before you wear them again and once you start wearing them again, I would dose them very sparingly at first. I did make a video on anosmia in perfumes. I love your top perfumes videos each month! I was on the Chanel website to repurchase No. 5 parfum and just saw Gabrielle L’Eau. Am I just oblivious, or is this a new Gabrielle release? I have the parfum and Essence but don’t like the eau de parfum. I bet this maybe good. Have you seen or tried this one? I will not be rushing out to buy this, but I am guessing this could be a wonderful summer fragrance. I will likely get it in the future if it is half as good as I suspect it may be.

Thank you rfbuffy 🥰🥰🥰 the Gabrielle L’Eau is indeed a brand new release from Chanel for this summer 2024. I have not smelled it yet. I am in no rush as I am still getting to know Comete better and still enjoying my pebble bottle of No L’Eau. Chanel in my opinion needs to slow down with their releases. Its like several new beauty product releases every month. I don’t like the speed with which they are pacing. It feels like paying rent to Chanel each month. Not a cool feeling in my opinion and also, not nice of the brand to release a new perfume and then just kinda forget about it a month later when they release yet another one. Diminishes the pleasure of savoring a beautiful creation in my opinion. 💖💖💖 I will of course get my nose on Gabrielle L’Eau but not immediately. It will be on my time and not on Chanel’s schedule.

@@essence-tiallydacob9611 I can definitely see that. I am still getting to know No. 5 L’Eau and three of Les Eaux line. Sometimes I really enjoy the No. 5 L’Eau, but sometimes the first citrus notes kind of slap me harshly. It does not last long so you have to respray it and sometimes I don’t want to go through the initial slappy notes again. lol I adore the oval shaped bottle of L’Eau. Before getting it, it took me forever just to use my little decant of it. I use it more now because of that sweet little bottle. Silly, but I love oval shapes! The limited release bottle should be permanent because it works with the lightness and airiness and softness of the scent (after the really sharp citrus fades down a bit). There are a lot of their fragrances I am not in a rush for, but I may like the Gabrielle L’Eau. I really like the extrait (thanks for the recommendation from you) and essence, but turning it down a smidge for these hellish midwestern summers could just be the thing. I will wait until next summer though. I have enough to play with this summer.

I've been using Margiela Replica Beach Walk layered with Coffee Break and Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill, sometimes layered with Ombre Nomade lately. I've been using fragrances a lot for specific purposes, like to easy my anxiety or help with my depression, or to help me relax and fall asleep. Fragrances like Pacific Chill have really helped to give me enthusiasm to face the day in the morning, and Tom Ford Ombre Leather has been helpful at night when I try to sleep. It's been a tough past couple years; my dad died almost two years ago and my fiance ghosted me a week after she went to his funeral with me, and we got back together over the past few months, just as I've been getting into this hobby of perfumery and fragrances. I've been feeling really down again since she ghosted me again just a few weeks ago, not being able to sleep again and having no appetite. On the bright side, I have some really nice perfumes that I bought for Katie, and didn't get to give her, plus I didn't actually get her a ring and everything like I was planning. She said her favorite perfume I gave her was Prada Paradoxe Intense, but she barely tried the Louis Vuitton Attrape-Reves that I just gave her a decant, and still have the bottle myself. Sorry for rambling on like that; I know it's hardly fun for people to read my whining. It helps me feel a little better, just typing it like this. I just feel so empty and unwanted and alone, that we were discussing marriage again and trying to start a family again, for her to just cut off all contact. I don't understand how anyone can do that to someone whom she claimed to love. I can't imagine that I actually did anything to warrant that. It feels like I'm just going through the motions again; I haven't been this depressed since we had to have my dog put to sleep in January.

Hi Dacob, hope you had the best B-day! 😊 July this year is pretty cold and rainy in my area, so, I'm not into beachy vibes at all!😅⛈️Nevertheless, I discovered Gabrielle L'eau that just came out, ( I know, we talked about not buying every single new release in the market...🤭), but, I listened to my heart, and it was love at first sight...🫠 It's like: Gabrielle essence married Number 1's mist! We get white flowers with berries, and this is beautiful 😍 long lasting, elegant, sophisticated, amazing ingredients. To me, this is what Gabrielle the original should have smelled from the get go !🤗 Less metallic, more fruity but in a mature way. Nothing in there is sticky, sweet or cheap. This one has exactly the little touch that the eau de parfum doesn't have, to me. Anyways, tell me if you tried it!!! I wanna know your thoughts! Love you ❤❤❤❤❤
