to be quite fair he hears the voice of all things (or we used to call it intuition back in the day). Since early episodes, he kinda senses intentions (like with the dog of the shattered pet store), so it makes sense for him to trust Law based on what he felt from him

@@EikeBatista_error well none of the people that lived years with him noticed it so I think kanjuro was on a whole new level of deception. Also I was thinking. In dressrosa Luffy barely sees him, he's just referred as someone trustworthy by Kin'emon and Luffy's either at the colliseum or fighting don flamingo so he's never taken the time to get to know kanjuro as he did with the crew and Law. He never stopped to analyse him (as I believe he does, even if it's subcounsciously) and even if he smelled something strange, he wasn't in the place to question the honourable samurai like Kin'emon.

@@annakareninacamara6580 I could understand it if Kanjuro was the exception. but he already has a history of failing to read people's intentions. Like: CP9 back in water 7. Robin when they first met. He thought she was an enemy and broke the log pose when Robin was genuinely trying to help them. Pudding in island cake. Buggy at Impel down. There mighte be some more... I believe the reason he trusted Law is simply because Law saved him in Marineford and treated his wounds.

@@EikeBatista_error I can't remember details of these scenes to try and justify lol. I guess you can be right, or there can be explanations that I'm kinda tired now to remember. Probably he just didn't mind buggy cuz he knew he wasn't s real threat at that point, so he could do whatever he wanted. As for Robin, it's been a long time and I really don't recall details. As for Pudding, it's probably the same with whiskey peaks: food is his weak spot? Like, you can be a devil but if you give Luffy food he'll love you and protect you.

Judging from how Oda made it to be, the crew also don't get devastated when Chopper easily believes Usopp or did something dumb. It's like since Chopper never lived with humans until now, it's understandable that he's dumb but Luffy been human and doing those things is just....🤣😂
