I knew Fishman karate was going to be number 1. It looks awesome, has devastating power, and it gives a way to attack devil fruit users without haki.

@@D33NXU Luffy uses a paramecia fruit and is basically immune to blunt damage, but he can still be incapacitated by water draining his strength.

I always hope that Sanji was forced into a corner at some point during the timeskip, which he'd never admit to anyone, and learned at least a little bit of Newkama Kenpo -- and that the day will come where he'll have no choice but to unleash it. Perhaps the combination of it and black leg style would create the strongest martial art the world of One Piece had ever seen.

Well, i was hyped when Sanji used Polaire a Fríe Specter, since Ivankov used a similar technique called face spectrum to perform his Galaxy Wink. I think this spectrum technique is part of Sanji's new skills.

I could see Fishman Karate being much lower if it weren't for Jimbei, but all in all I definitely think it's the coolest one.

Well yeah I mean we see it first used in Arlong Park, it looked like normal karate except useful in water. We then learn more about it at the fishman island and learn it’s deadly with the water abilities and finally Jinbei is a master in it so he has all the moves. It’s crazy how in depth fighting styles even go in one piece I love it!

Fist of Love is the ultimate shounen attack - it's never been blocked, and only once has it ever been dodged, by Goku. Let's also not forget Nami one-shot the monster trio in succession when she commands them to get fishmen island' treasure, while mid-conversation with Neptune.

I don't think a "living" Martial Art needs more than one practitioner. While Luffy may improvise in a fight, his techniques were developed and routinely practiced.

I was waiting for Okama Kenpo to pop up here, and then when it appeared in the number 2 spot, I immediately thought of the only art to supersede it: Fishman Karate. We have seen Fishman Karate in use or mentioned by other characters since the Arlong section of the East Blue adventures. Not only does it have the most documented practitioners, but also the longest legacy in terms of the One Piece story. The Rokushiki may be efficient and incredibly deadly, but Okama Kenpo and Fishman Karate will always be the winners because of their style and the myriad of interesting users that practice them.

I thought fishman's karate to manipulate wtaer was just a fishman specific ability. Like, I thought that Koala learnt the techniques of it but becuase she's human she can only give physical attacks which are still devastating.

I often hear question "what Devil Fruit would you eat?" I, in complete honesty, would never eat a Devil Fruit, because Sanji's use of Black Leg Style (and Usopp) proved to me that you don't really need one to survive in this world or even reach the top. Heck, I would study BLS in real life if I could. Also reminds me of my favorite Bruce Lee quote: _"I fear not the man who learned a thousands kicks one time, but the man who learned one kick a thousands times."_

@@cpmtn1995 Well I wouldn't exactly call it a martial art, just like you wouldn't call using a bow and arrow a martial art. Martial arts (as far as I know) refers to disciplined, unarmed combat. Once a weapon is involved, it might as well not be one anymore

There's actually two types of fishman martial arts. First, you have fishman karate which allows you to create shockwaves with your strikes which affect the water inside people, and the second fishman martial art is fishman jujutsu, which allows fishmen to basically do water-bending.

Strange you didn't include Merman Combat which seem to be a variation on Fishman Karate which include special moves exclusive to it. More so as you include the variations Okama/Newkama kenpo.
