These are the mods I fine people doing commonly Sprocket mods changing the 33 tooth back to a 30 and the front 14tooth to a 15 tooth people say it help the rebel get more gas mileage and makes the ride smoother and allows it to go up to 75 but it takes a minute because the acceleration is slowed. most people will just change the back sprocket just because the front one turning into a 15t can cause clearance issues at times with thick chains or something like that I haven't done the front sprocket mod. people also suggest not changing both at the same time just so you can get use to the riding. Getting a 3.4 tank is a common mod they cost about $150 but let you drive further. Turn signals are also another mod people do and they will get a bracket to mount the turn signals further back, on the license plate. Head light I haven't done this but since the Honda rebel is a small high rpm bike it vibrates at 55-60 and can make a weird noise and a lot of times it is the headlight. so this is often changed but I can't say anymore as I haven't done it and never had issues with this noise. On the supper simple side: Since I use mine as my main vehicle I have replaced the covers that cover the blinkers with clear ones and installed what's called a switch back lights (blinker switches from amber to white instead of on and off). and instead of installing a brake light modulator I installed a strobing brake light which strobes for 3 seconds and then hold when braking magnetic dipstick since the rebel has no oil filter. $30 inline fuel filter I bought a reusable one for $10 on ebay helps keep carb clean and improves lasting fuel efficiency.

I am disappointed with the lack of aftermarket performance parts for the 250 Rebel.

i've had over 8 bikes and I'll say the rebel is a great reliable bike thats only con is a lack of speed, what somewhat remedied this for me was changing the rear sprocket to 31 tooth, allowed me to JUST BARELY go on the interstate at 70 ish miles an hour ... somewhat comfortably , drove 10 hours from nc to florida once after changing the rear sprocket like mentioned. great bike overall

im gonna get white wall tires (thin front tire and a fat back one) i'll also get a bigboar kit to make it a 300+ cc probably a tan seat, move my mirrors upside down and get some ape handle bars

i have built several Rebels but I use mostly Indian Scout handle bars, They are both 1" bars and I'm a tech an Indian deaership and get them free and that's one of the first mods people do. The one I'm building now is getting 10" Mini Apes that are brand new almost brand, a customer bought a used scout that had the upgrade done and wanted 12" instead.

Air filter intake makes no difference whatsoever. The intake is so large, that even at top speed it lets in more air than the engine can take, regardless of exhaust.

Throw in an air cooled 1300cc 45 Vtwin, nice stg1 pipes, rebuild rear frame to fit fatboy tires, get a decent fork, comfy solo rider seat & there you go.
