Defo go with a greenhouse. I have cucumbers coming out my ears through the summer. (Try a small snack variety for children). Start all my seeds, grow out of season. Still eating preserved chillies and peppers from last year. Love my greenhouse. Couldn't be without one.

I agree Burnet salad is crazily productive. It's great. Mine grew so big I had to cut down all the flowers and feed to the chickens 🐔 😅#HealthGeekMum

My problem with broad beans in a small space is simply the amount of crop you get. You cannot eat the pods, just a few beans inside, and therefore it is hard to justify the space they take up.

I hear that... for me they fill a gap in the early growing season, and I got a really great crop off them. We eat so much and i just love them

Ps. Rocket it's great too, it is actually perenial, it will come back next year. If you forget to clear it like I did 😅😂. Try snapping broadband in early growth, it happened to mines because of winds and they sprouted 4 branches instead of the one that broke (it was dwarf variety calle Field Wizard grew in Fife Scotland). Although it obviously pushed back the harvest time as they needed to recover. Re peppers, I keep trying, I have proper greenhouse, based in Fife Scotland. And it's just never do well. I am not giving up, trying for abiut 4th time this year lol. 🤞 #HealthGeekMum

I meant to say those plastic containers cost 7 pounds in the uk in poundland Fish and chip shops often throw away clear plastic 20 litre oil containers that can be very useful to griw in and can be used to atore fresh rain water in.if you are on a meter rhis can save you money

absolutely. And may garden centres operate recycling points and they have always been happy for me to take unwanted pots
