My first encounter with a reaper was super scary. I was going to the aurora in my seamoth looking at the sky, because I didn't want to see or attract it. As I'm getting close, I see something that looked like seaweed. I turn in it's direction but I don't see it, then the reaper turns me around from behind and scared me so much I ACTUALLY pooped my pants. True Story.

The most annoying thing is when you go somewhere scary, like the lost river in your cyclops, and then you jump scare yourself by crashing into a peeper.

The only one I would find annoying on this list is the warper, especially in zone like the lost river where the environment is already dangerous. The rest of the list is full of cheaters a new person would encounter like the crash fish and they encounter the reaper leviathan for the first time to go to the aurora, then commit alt and f4 because they got jump scared. Reapers are quite easy to avoid, the seamoth can easily outrun it, and reapers usually stop chasing you when you leave their territory like the ones in the mountain, and the only exception are the one at the crash zone which somehow are very stubborn. Overall my list would be: 5. Warpers 4. Ghost leviathans 3. Cave crawlers (mostly on land or the aurora without prawn suit) 2. Crabsquids 1. Larva leeches

Hunter Leviathan It's a combination of my two favorite overpowered crustations, the peacock mantis shrimp and the bullet shrimp. They are both quite similar, but the peacock mantis shrimp has a "spear version". The bullet shrimp has one gigantic claw, about half the sice of its own body. Both fingers (no idea what it's actually called) are controlled by two muscles that stretch each other and build up incredibly force. When released the force splits water and creates and air bubbles which immediately implodes which creates a (stoney?) hitting sound. It gets hotter than the surface of the sun and basically cooks their target. They live in colonies and communicate with the hitting sound. It gets very loud and also incredibly hot. But the Hunter Leviathan is a lonely creature. The peacock mantis shrimp uses a similar mechanism to the bullet shrimp, but just punches or has spear like arms instead of claws which shoot out 50 times faster than we can blink to stab its prey. It's ideal to their lifestyle because they live most of their lives in holes. The Hunter Leviathan is of course much bigger than the shrimps, about 35m long. It has one big claw and a spear arm. Due to its sice the force released is far more powerful. It doesn't use the heat but the suction force of the small vortex created when clapping. It uses it to suck its prey near it and then immediately stab right through it. Like both of the shrimps it needs a lot of energy, in other words food to use its claw and spear. It's constantly on the hunt, therefore its name. So it's always hostile, but prefers the largest prey nearby. When you see it, you should immediately run away because the spear's range is massive and it can even suck you near it. It lives in tropical areas like the peacock mantis shrimp and is also rainbow colored like it. Edit: Shit wrong video.

2:20 I was in the Dunes collecting parts in my Seamoth, when a Reaper grabbed it and glitched it under the ground. I was in a scanner room I created nearby when this happened and when I got out I swam for quite a bit trying to find a spot where I could glitch underground to collect the Seamoth. I didn't know Reapers could grab your seamoth when you're not in it.

The crashfish is the single reason why I never get far in Subnautica.

I remember trying to tango with a Sea Dragon Leviathan who was chasing me in my Prawn Suit and a friggen Warper hit me from behind. I got teleported out of my Prawn Suit and was literally 15 feet away from the Leviathan, who was giving me the side-eye as he started circling for another fireball strafing run. Fortunately, I had the Reinforced Diving Suit and max O2 capacity, so I swam to a lower area that the Leviathan couldn't reach me and just sat there until it lost interest. Was one of the most terrifying moments of my playthroughs, right up there with wandering the Dunes in my Prawn Suit and watching multiple Reapers circle around in the middle of the night.

2nd most annoying creature, Humans: Humans always get to close to your nest and even after you commit suicide, they just avoid you and go about their day.

I had no idea that bleeders could be found outside of the Aurora Drive Core! That's the only place I've ever encountered them, and I've logged 144 hours on Subnautica. I always find it fascinating how everyone can have such different experiences in this game. I agree with Warpers and Crashfish being quite tedious, and Reapers make it very difficult to get out of your Seamoth to scan something, lest your vehicle get dragged off, chewed up, and spat back out as wreckage (and they're also scary as hell). Mesmers I've never had too much trouble with in the wild, and furthermore, they make stunning pets! I think they're the only predators that won't attack your vehicles if you release them near your base, they never attack you, and they're beautiful to have swimming around. Also, not that I'm making any suggestions...they're small enough to fit in a time capsule. For the record, I'm personally putting my #1 most annoying as Spadefish. Specifically Spadefish. They're everywhere, and they do SO much damage to your Seamoth when you hit them. Not to mention the noise is enough to make you jump out of your skin. I swear they leap right into my path wherever I go. They're the damn deer of the sea.

1. Bone sharks just keep wanting to gang b… I mean destroy my prawn suit 2. Stalkers can’t stop coming out of nowhere and bite me 3. Ghost leviathan one would just keep puppy guarding me in the portal room 4. The alien things he mentioned that teleports you; it broke my seamoth 5. The bone piranha ghost things just annoying Honorable mention to the crasher fish for the first play through they attacked a lot but this play through the y rarely attacked me

Here's another annoying creature which is only found in Below Zero, which is the Sea Monkeys. So, imagine your playing Below Zero and you exploring the Twisty Bridges, you have your scanner and you're trying to scan all of the thing you can currently scan, and then suddenly, a Sea Monkey comes in and takes your scanner away and you're chasing after it to get your scanner back, but then you lost it because you were running low on oxygen and had to swim up to the surface to refill it. Yeah, this happened to me twice and I had to quit because of it.

The warper is the worst thing ever. I was teleported out of my sea moth into a ghost leviathan. Now I’m scared of the ocean :)

5: Crabsquid. EMP can be annoying, but they can be avoided if you are just trespassing, and easily killed if you plan to stay. 4: Crashfish. No need to introduce it. 3: Reaper. While they are hard-countered by the Seamoth defense module, they are a buggy mess. I once had a Reaper beeline to my empty moth a hundred meters away, then jump out of the water with it and park it 194 meters high in the air, where it was left suspended. The scariest and most annoying thing about the Reaper is its ability to defy the game's rules. 2: Warper. Unkillable, disorienting and blinding ranged attack that can hurt you inside vehicles, especially annoying in some late-game areas like the inactive lava zone. Would take number one spot if not for their rarity relative to #1. 1: Boneshark. Excessively abundant in many areas, and love to take bites out of the Seamoth, forcing repair again and again and again.... As for the Mesmer and the Bleeder? Who doesn't have the knife in their first quickslot all the time, anyway? Just stab them. Lava larvae can be annoying if you try to rush the game, but thermal power plants make them a non-issue.

I went to the Aurora, to Mushroom forest, completed my cyclops, built a pretty good size base, went to the lava zone, witnessed the destruction of the Sunbeam, and other things in between all that. And I never encountered those leech like things at number 1. 🤔

My top 5 list is as follows 5: Biters: not very annoying, but I needed a #5 and these guys can be obnoxious sometimes. 4: Crab Snakes: there are so damn many of them, sure they only inhabit the one biome, but damn when I’m looking for magnetite they are so damn annoying. 3: Bone Sharks: They are so damn persistent, they attack more frequently when your lights are on, do enough damage to the seamoth to be worth avoiding, but not enough to warrant armour taking up a mod slot, but I Love them so they get a bit of a pass. 2: Bleeders: If you’re not looking for them, they’re nearly impossible to spot, and they jumpscare me every time, but they only inhabit the aurora and certain creepvine caves, so they aren’t a massive deal. 1: Warpers: Fuck warpers, I fucking hate warpers, they’re cool looking, I love their concept, but good god fuck of you teleporting Cthulhu wannabes.

So fun fact about the crashfish it can’t actually damage your base... but it’s explosion can hit you through your base walls I should know I somehow on my first run put the entrance to my first base within triggering distance of a crashfish spawn so I’m now paranoid that I’ll get exploded on every time I enter or exit my base

I think the stalkers are annoying as hell. especially if you have built a base near creepvine because they constantly steel the cameras from the scanner room.

Fun fact if you build a base high enough the reefback leviathans will steer away from your base so they dont break it

stalkers hands down because whenever they attack you in the kelp forests if you run away they follow you and then they STAY WHEREVER THEY FOLLOW YOU TO so now you have stalkers in the “safe” shallows

In subnautica below zero i find the sea monkey the most annoying because when your just minding your own business a sea monkey could come right up to you and take the item your holding THEN sometimes you cant find it so you basically just loose a really expensive item

My list looks like follows: 1. Lava Larva - they look cute, untill your cyclops runs out of power. Fact that I somehow managed to carry one right up to the surface made it extra bad when I came back later to find my cyclops dead with that fucker dancing around. 2. Boneshark - There are so fucking many in underwater islands and crag field that I don't even go there without a cyclops, even PRAWN does not last that long unless I kill all of them. 3. Crabsquid - just because they exist, one is always on the way when I'm going into the lost river, always have to leave the cyclops and get rid of it. 4. Warpers - they keep teleporting me out of PRAWN when I'm drilling, but with a repulsion cannon they fly far. 5. Crashfish - Had enough of creepers in minecraft, and now the same thing again.

Crashfish are less annoying, when you realize that with a propulsion cannon, and the capacity to raise crashfish in captivity, you essentially have an underwater 40mm grenade launcher. Reapers, and ghosts run away after a single shot, anything smaller dies in two or three, haven't tried it on a sea dragon. I'm seriously shocked that no one else seems to be aware of this.

I understand you about a reaper following you to the shallows. One time a build a scanner room near the aurora to find cyclops parts and after I was done. A reaper chased me home. And is now guarding my scanner room. Good bye scanner room.

Whist building my base i wanted it close to the pod for 2 reasons 1.i have access to the things inside the pod as I had not had any in my base 2. It was easy to find and i did not have to craft a becon But one day I was sitting in my observatory and I noticed a tail U when in to my seamoth and I had found I had built right next to a reaper I did not know they spawned in front of the Aroura when gathering cyclops frags (the only reseon i ever went there) I was lucky enough to build out of its territory and I can always get a good view on one with out being harmed

About Reapers in Subnautica, i got one swimming around my seabase!!! Because i wanted to get to the mountain islands

Bonesharks are soooo obnoxious.. travel in packs, destroy the fuck out of anything you have. Crabsquids are relatively annoying, too.

Pretty sure the devs actually reduced the number of reapers in the game, because I've seen maps online that mention like seven of them in the Mountain biome? And when I go to the dunes, there aren't any more there than the other two areas where you don't get the "multiple leviathan class lifeforms" warning. So maybe the devs realized they put too many in the world, and cut the numbers down. Kind of surprised Warpers weren't #1, given they can teleport you out of your vehicle, and are almost impossible to get rid of. Also no mention of lava larva?

The Bleeder? Really? I've only ever seen them is in the reactor room in the Aurora, and still, all you need is to ALWAYS have your knife in your hot bar. They really aren't that bad

my list: 5. Crashfish(once you got a seaglide it's harmless) 4. Lava larva(so high up because it can be countered by shield + thermal generator) 3. Warper(Everyone knows why) 2. Ampeel(invincible to perimeter defense, can damage cyclops, is in a lot of places. The one counter to it is just prawn suit) 1. Crabsquid(you basically can't counter it, even if you are desperate enough to use repulsion cannon, 3 another ones just spawn)

Warper is by far the most annoying (it would be even worse if your prawn suit didn't hang in mid water, but sank when you were teleported, but the devs obviously thought that was too much). Can you imagine if you were grappling along the roof of the lava zone and you were warped out, and your suit sank into the lava?

i can't look at butterflies the same way after dealing with the Mesmer

I'd say another annoying creature is a stalker since they chase you and if you have a scanner room they will steal your camera drones and will pass it onto other stalkers surrounding the area until you can finally get to it in time to take it back to the outside of the room >:(
