That spinal rescue Jules did was so impressive. With that many people involved, it would be so easy for someone to panic and cause more harm, but she kept them so calm and collected. Also the way they got that girl on the board looked smoother than some of their spinals on dry land.

Like when she was saving the girl with the spinal injury “OKAY LIFT IT, KEEP HER HEAD STILL. KEEP IT STILL” and when she was trying to get through the water when there were multiple people close to drowning “EVERYONE GET OUT OR MOVE THAT WAY.” There were so many moments in this where these women were powerful and nailing their jobs. 👏👏👏

Australia has an institution called the Surf Life Saving Clubs. These are volunteer clubs that exist at popular swimming beaches. Kids start at a young age and train in all of the disciplines of life saving at a beach. They compete in competitions on the beach and on the water, which hones their skills. The Bondi (blue shirts) crew are paid, but they most certainly started out as SLSC members as kids, and grew up training in that environment.

Eli hh I love how there is no such thing as a famous international man’s day, mainly because we don’t demand our own “international day,” no one cares about an international mans day. If we had an international mans day we would be made fun of and called “wimps and pussies.” This world used to be sexist in the opposite direction and now it’s becoming sexist again. There are literal feminists out there who say “all men should die.” Do you see numerous men going round saying all women should die? No. There is no word everyone knows in the modern days for men equality.

Understand completely. I borrowed someone's surf board (only reason I'm still alive) and went out way too far after a hurricane (so big waves). I tried to go out farther and farther to get a chance to actually use the board. But waves just constantly breaking over me... board shooting out maybe 6 to 10 feet away from me. Barely made it back in; and utterly exhausted by the time I did.
