My Freya will gently grind her teeth when we have our morning petting session. I mimic her grinding, and we have a back and forth "conversation."

When I get out the broom 🧹 one of my rabbits grunts and will box at it if it’s in her pen. Then she’ll push it away towards the front of the pen with her nose. It’s pretty funny.

One of my buns is afraid of the stove. It makes me a little nervous to cook anything that takes longer than 10-15 minutes because I will almost always find him hiding in a hunched, still, alert position, breathing quickly anytime the oven or stovetop is on. I always put the fan on, crack a window and put the air purifier on full blast but he still senses the heat and gets scared 😢 Funnily enough, his little brother will act totally normal and doesn’t care, just eating and flopping as usual.

I need help. Anything would be great. I have two male bunnies, both neutered. I’ve done everything I’ve seen to do to try and bond them with no luck at all. It makes it so hard in the dynamics of our household. If anyone can help, I would be so grateful.

from what i've learned, i think hares are the ones that use the boxing technique. using their front legs to fight. rabbits, at least domestic ones, ive seen by biting their opponent and kicking them with their back legs. forming like a circle on the ground. not good! Luckily, all my rabbits seem to feel safe and comfortable and they relax plenty and flop all the time! I encourage their curiosity and they've become less afraid of noises.

Mine only 1 likes to be picked up doesn't mind but starts to scratch when she wants to be put down. Lucias went thru trauma, so he is terrified. Hades will run. All took time to have them trust me. I only scratch their heads. When I do groom, it's all gentle and no loud noises. I make this kissy noise to let them know its time for grooming or nail trim. It all takes time. They all know when its time for eating as I placed a cute alarm for it. Its heartbreak to see when they have fear so patience is the best thing any parent, owner or employee can have.
