Agreed, scent is specific to time of day, year, season , location and of course body chemistry. I know a few famous scents which I loved on some people and hated on others.

I haven't had the chance to go out too much but YSL Y Live has been the one to get the most. Dior Sauvage EDT comes in 2nd. They're not the only 2 I've worn but when I do I suppose people just love them lol.

I’ve been wearing Light Blue Forever it’s been giving compliments and that dry down is nice takes away that opening of grapefruit and settles in nice.

It's great on my skin. It lasts about 9 hours. Others may only get 3-4 though. It just depends on how your skin takes the fragrance.

I have it. Definitely appealing to my wife. Not a fan of powdery notes, which it has in the opening and a little bit in the drydown, so it's one of those scents I wear for her, not for myself. But it does work. A worthy buy.

In my small town I don't think I have ever came across someone that smelt like Sauvage. I don't think I've ever came across someone that smelt like anything other than Axe body spray in my town. So I'm not worried about smelling basic with my Sauvage edt. But as far as what gets me the most compliments. My wife compliments everything, some get better reactions than others, but I don't count that. But at work there's really only been two fragrances have gotten me compliments. Now I work around a bunch of construction working type dudes, so compliments are few and far between. But the two that when I wear them I almost always have someone come up and ask me what I'm wearing are Halloween Man and Versace Eros Flame. I've worn the majority of my fragrances to work, and those are the two that just always get compliments.

I spent $20 on a Walmart brand cologne called Cremo. At the time I was working sales so I was talking to 300 plus people a day. I was able to sell multiple people because they complimented my cologne and was able to build a small relationship of trust on that alone. Cologne does wonders when worn correctly.

Been wearing Dior Sauvage daily the past few months and got compliments multiple times on a weekly basis for over a month when I started wearing it. Very popular but it does the job, and I don't think any other parfume will get you more compliments from women

Here’s a tip to help make a scent last longer. Have you guys considered the health of your skin, how hydrated it is? Otherwise it’s like spraying on to a sampler paper. Take your moisturizing seriously, but it ultimately starts from what you put IN to your body not just ON your body. Hydrate, eat healthy fats, animal fats, red meat, and plenty of sunlight.

I have a dozen niche, all uncomplemented, and the only unsolicited complement I've ever gotten was from my gas attendant. He was macho and fairly uncomfortable even asking another man, but must have liked it that much. It was Versace Pour Homme.

The sales lady sprayed ysl intense on me ,all over me and in the air!!! It's the exact opposite for me.. I only ever get compliments from total strangers..! People I know, know me as 'the fragrance guy' and even check in to see what today's SOTD is (and will comment on that particular scent) but almost never compliment me personally 😢 Complete strangers, walking through a Mall or standing in line, in a store, are the only source of unsolicited compliments for me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ash, have you smelled the very affordable Midnight Oud by Ard Al Zaafaran? Allegedly a clone of Interlude as you might know, but I smelled Interlude Black Iris, and to me it smelled a huge lot exactly like Midnight Oud. Midnight Oud, even if with less reviews, has better scores than both Amouages on both Fragrantica and Parfumo. Some people also say it is more wearable than Interlude, as you say about the Black Iris flanker. So I wonder if Midnight Oud might be closer to Black Iris than to Interlude itself, or somewhere between them? I have not been able to smell Interlude itself yet, that's why I wonder.

i like dior sauvage, it smells great, but its too strong. i remember i sprayed it once on my hoodie then i went to do laundry and i washed my hoodie. after i washed my hoodie, it still had the dior sauvage smell. it wasn’t as strong after i washed it but i could still smell it

My perfume obsession is relatively new found and I must say, of all the blue frags that keep getting listed everywhere, I really found the smell of Savage very underwhelming (it smells harsh and not refined enough for the price to my nose). I'd take BDC (edp) over that any day. And Dylan Blue as my regular scent to keep my wallet happy.

Have you ever found a cologne that was similar to the late 80's era cologne Santa Fe (by Shulton) that is discontinued? I just recently started wearing cologne again and looking for a signature fragrance. Santa Fe is the only cologne I have ever worn that literally received a compliment each time I wore it. I have a bottle from the late 80's that has definitely developed a more alcohol smell. Still, for nostalgia sake I wore it the other day....and ..."Ohhh, You smell nice....". Old faithful. If anyone knows a similar scent profile to Santa Fe, I would love to know what it is.

Answering your question: 1- Y Live. 2- Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. 3- Dior Homme Parfum (winter/formal only). 4- Dior Homme 2020. That was my surprise of the year for me. I've tried it couple of times last year and it didn't work for me until a week ago when I came across a Dior boutique. I tried there and I bought immediately.

Great Video! I am wearing those fragnance to get some complement from people when i walk down the street. But lets be real, the only complements you will get is from your family and that too if they notice. So don't spend crazy money to get attention, just be realistic and watch your pocket.

As one a the few large channels that talks about Cremo, have you tried Citrus and Mint Leaf. I saw it in a Rite Aid the other day and was curious about it. Only found one first impression by makingscents but was curious what your thoughts might be. He says it’s an Elysium inspired frag while not being a clone.

I have about 6 different Cremo brand colognes. They are great. The Blue Cypress one, the Bourbon & Vanilla and the Bourbon and Oak are my favorites so far. Was not a fan of the Palo Santo one.

I get complements from Mancera Pink Prestigium. Not from anybody else, mind you, but from me when I get a whiff of it 4 hours after I put it on - "Oh yeah, that's niiiice". Of course, other people start stepping away when they see me talking to myself.

YSL Y EDP is sweeter and harsher. It’s like drinking a cup of coffe with 5 tsp of sugar, whereas Live is less sweet, about 2 tsp of sugar

I used to use Eau de Vétyver L'Occitane en Provence but it was discontinued. Everyone I knew said it was fantastic, even got compliments from people I didn't know, and then it was gone. If I had known it was going I would have bought 10 bottles

Been getting tons of compliments on Armani Code parfum. What's your take on that, im loving it and nothing touches it longevity? Speaking of I love ysl y edp but have never wore a fragrance that I can't smell after just 30 minutes.
