I personally like the PC-12. Very efficient fuel burn, very good operational weight, long range, and high altitude operations with realistic cabin pressurization features. If I ever get a chance to fly a PC-12 in real life, I'm taking it. One of my favorite of all time.

I would say for a serious simmer or a pilot the only good Carenados are the ones where you can buy a REP overlay to fix the flight characteristics and systems. Nice video.

I wish they would release these aircraft with cockpit options. One with the glass cockpit and the other with the standard steam gauges with maybe a GNS530 or so. Glass cockpits are awesome but can be a frame killer for users with older computers looking to purchase these aircraft. I don't worry about frames but I myself prefer the steam gauges over the fancy glass cockpit. A lot of business going on. hehe.

I'm a PC-12 NG fan myself. Love the King Air 350 and the TBM 850/930 also. Am also a "glass" cockpit fan.

Thanks for the video. I'd love to buy the TBM 850 but it's not for P3Dv4 unfortunately. And as chef Ramsey said here, the glass cockpit by Carenado scares me a bit. I've bought the Carenado C208 Caravan for X-Plane and it's great, apart from some quirks here and there. I read that the latest King Air by Carenado for X-Plane are very good. I think that for GA X-Plane is a very very solid platform

Great list Shane! Got a couple of the choices in the fleet. My top choice has to go to the Shrike, I think of the Shrike like a pair of old shoes, comfortable and reliable. I give the Cheyenne the second spot, climbs like an homesick angel and really covers ground fast. My third spot is the Dornier, gets in and out of just about anywhere and is extremely versatile. I've only just acquired the PC12 so I have only a cursory check ride in it. If it's anywhere near as good as the old Flight 1 PC12 I'm sure it will become a favorite. Look forward to seeing how Carenado does with the Fokker 50 they are developing. Hopefully they will raise their game and make it study-level or very close, they are pretty much the masters at building beautiful looking aircraft. I could see Carenado making more complex simulations and letting Alabeo handle the lighter end. Anyways thanks for the list and best!

Slap forehead!! I watched the video again and you state early this is not for jets, so, my earlier comment was invalid. I believe my favorite twin engine is the Alabeo PA44 Seminole for FSX & P3D, it has the option for either the old "steam gauges" or Garmin G600 avionics. It has great slow flying characteristics, very stable, for those that like to fly low and slow, yet fly a twin. For flights over 1,000 nautical miles I prefer the Carenado EMB505 Phenom 300 I mentioned earlier. While writing this I took time out to make a short flight in the PA-44 Seminole. Real world weather used, 190 pound pilot was the only person in the aircraft, full fuel, cruse altitude 7000 feet ASL, 1 degree C OAT, MP 22" HG, 2500 RPM yielded 152 knots indicated [* edit below], 165 knots TAS & 165 KTS across the ground. That is just about spot on for the real aircraft in those conditions. Very good video, keep up the good work. [EDIT: Edited for a double statement, sorry for that & I thought about the indicated airspeed, I knew it was too low and re-flew the flight a few minutes ago and it was not 122 knots, it was 152 knots. This time I had a tail wind and ground speed was 183 knots.]

I'd say you've got to have any single engine trainer prop, which is a shame because carenado don't have a HD cherokee or warrior yet. I also want to see carenado release options for steam gauges. Get sick of the glass cockpits at times.

my only issue with carenado planes is the fact that their g1000 has tons of bugs and doesn't have a lot of basic g1000 features, eg a procedures page

I don't think Carenado makes helicopters, so I don't have a top 5 Carenado list. My favorites though, non Carenado list includes, the Dreamfoil Bell 407, the UH-60, (can't remember the company that built it.) the freeware Bell 429 and the as yet unreleased Bell UH-1 from Nimbus. Still waiting on a decent Bell 206 for X Plane 11 and hoping someone will come out with a Bell 222B, with or without the Airwolf mods.

A very informative top 5 of your favorite ones to use. What do you think of the Beechcraft 1900d from them that's my favorite one to fly with the HS748s because they were operated in New Zealand

I would like to see the Carenado Hawker if possible. But on this 5 models I think I would buy the Cheyenne II. Maybe the # 1 Beechcraft too but that would depend on how's the FMS. I Iike them as real as possible. Otherwise I would not consider must likely.

I dont recommend any of their aircraft as they are incomplete avionics dont fully work and customer service is terrible.

I like Carenado and Alabeo products...but it seems like the aircraft are all too "slippery". The modeling is great and all, but flying them is just a pain, the sensitivity is crazy, I've tried turning it down on my yoke, but nothing seems to work. If anyone has any solutions i'd be happy to find out. Thanks
