Let me just say that no one needs this many fragrances. I’ve been working in the fragrance industry for 9 years and it’s my job to stay up to date with existing and new perfumes, hence the large collection. I would recommend getting 5-10 fragrances max.

I have been fighting with a fragrance addiction for some time now. I have over a 100 bottles, but the number keeps going up. But I agree, more then 10 - 15 is totally unnecessary.

Relax people. It's her job. So all the comments about over consumption & expiration dates are unnecessary. She recommends 5-10 max for those of us not working in the fragrance industry. Sheesh. I can literally feel the anxiety some of you have over her collection. She explains it in her comment, but... you'd have to read it, so... lol.

I used to collect a lot until i realized they weren’t performing as well as they did. I literally started spraying my least favorites before bed and to the gym just to get rid of them. Sometimes I would even leave my least favorite fragrances at the gym for some smelly person to take them just to help out 😂😂😂

No they don't. It's either you store them bad, you let them in sunlight or over 86°F ( 30°C) nor you bought counterfeits or second hand bad stored perfumes. Perfumes are ALCOHOL they won't age like a regular product. They are even better with times for most of them. Some will only sniff the nozzle and throw it because it smells bad. Of course it does it's oxydized. You have to get it off several sprays to get the unoxydized part for a fragrance you didn't use for a while. But don't say good fragrances turn bad easily that's simply not true. It's all about storage.

Friendly reminder it’s super super important to go to the shop to test these or order a tiny sample before investing in the whole bottle. Fragrance interacts with everyone’s body chemistry differently

Question? Perfumes go bad. What does one do with 600 bottles. Just knowing that would give me anxiety. I have a good amount of perfumes most are inexpensive. Do you resell them give to family? I’m NOT JUDGING TRUST ME! I have this many candles. Just curious.

I have collected perfumes/body sprays/candles for about 5 years alrdy and they smell great, I store them away from sunlight in a cool place. But my first perfume I bought (which I still have lol) smells as good as when I first purchased it

While I agree that in general this is an issue. Influencers get sent a lot of stuff and if they redistribute it to shelters for the homeless directly to the residents, cause heard stuff about that as well, or to their followers they can grow their channel in that way w give aways and not have wastage.

I see a lot of ladies commenting out while you would need more than five fragrances in your collection. And I completely understand that question. But here is my reasoning for myself. One or two for each season, one for day, one for tonight, one for particular occasions. I’m good with about 12- 15 fragrances, which some people say is a lot and other say is next to nothing. But as far as telling someone they have too many fragrances, that might be that person’s hobby. Some people collect stamps, jewelry, shoes, purses, art, cars, etc. so it’s difficult for us to judge what a person shouldn’t should not be allowed to consume. Some people like to eat some people like to buy merchandise like shoes, purses, makeup, getting their nails done, travel. Others like to have Perfume collections.

@@karinamaissin7890 I actually always wonder about that myself. I asked some ladies I know that have between 200 and 500 fragrances. They all say they rarely go bad with the exception of one from time to time. I always thought fragrance had a shelf life but I keep hearing that even 20 years later many smell as good or better. I admit I have my doubts.

Most perfumes do NOT expire if stored in a dark and dry place, at low temperature. Avoid bathrooms and sunlight at all cost 😉

Yes definitely. Solar blossom = sweet orange blossom but fresh. Solaris = citrus + exotic floral

how do you keep those fragrances from going bad? When you have so many? You can't possibly use all of them or even rotate them. That's one of the reasons why I don't buy a lot. Because even if you put them in the refrigerator, they'll still go off eventually if you don't use them for years.
