2. Do not wear big, baggy, and boxy polos
3. Don't select polos that are loud, bright patterns and colors - black is great on everyone! White also is another that you can't go wrong.
4. Avoid effed-up polo collars at all costs - use a fabric-safe Fashion Anchor to keep your collar. And don't pop your collar!
5. Don't wear a worn-out polo such as one with stretched out sleeves, floppy collar, and shortened body

my 2 mistakes is loud colors I have the green, orange, teal, purple, and red. I feel if you wear black, navy blue, and grey it doesn't give you as much variety. too plain since I'm already plain with solid polos. also the collar mine lay flat I like it I feel it should be relaxed since its not a dress shirt.

You nailed it bro!! The first thing I noticed was the "fit" of the sleeves! Then the stiffer/different style collar...both aspects seem to affect the overall look & fit of polo shirts. It (video) is kinda heavy in the (Ministry) Sales-pitch kinda way, but apparently, someone else (Ministry) felt/noticed the same things about Polos!! Most of mine (half closet) are actually (free, but expensive) Corporate Polos and all have some of the bad characteristics described. The Navy (USMC) came up with a Polo option (for office personnel) made out of bamboo fibers! Look & sounded great in the Marketing pitch...but No matter what color they were on the outside (Red or Blue) they were Black on the inside (?), so if a person walked outside in the sunshine they would quickly overheat & start feeling sick or pass-out! I guess no one who was involved in developing/designing them ever "field-tested" them!!?? It took awhile to figure out what/why was happening...and then we were stuck with all these (Red) Polos!! Never found any excuse/occasion to actually wear one of these after leaving the military. Ha!

In my opinion you can't get any high grade shorts for under 150 $. But what you can do if you are on a budget is to buy shorts with solid materials like cotton and then go to the alterations tailor and get them adjusted to fit you perfectly for a few bucks. That way you pay little and get the look of shorts that are way more expensive. You can also save money at the alterations tailor by telling him/her to set your alterations on low priority. That way you have to wait longer untill your shorts are finished but you get the alterations for less.

Instead of those sticky things in your collar, why not just go to a tailor and ask them to stitch your collar together at the end, or maybe with a button. Should have the same effect and would be a lot cheaper than constantly ordering new sticky things.

Gosh...I have many polo shirts...orange, yellow, red baby blue, green..you get the picture. I don't have black, navy blue...you get the idea... But I look good at any color at least that is what I was thinking...I could be wrong.. lighter color shows my body much better than the dark color...that's my opinion and I am sticking to it.

I just bout MOS last week. Can't wait to sport it on vacation. Wish I had this discount though.

Update: I finally got my polos in from MOS. It took a while because they don't keep a solid inventory. Just as I suspected the fit is very boxy. It fits really well around the arms and chest, but has a WEAK taper for those who have an athletic body type. I now have to get it tailored. I should also mention that the material is a bit weird; kind of a mix between oxford and a mesh. IMO the best polo is found at Banana Republic. The material is super soft and smooth. My only problem with it is that it shrinks so you definitely have to size up. I also got a dress shirt from Ministry. The fit is above average, but not the best. Overall I like it, but, just like the polo, it's made of that weird material. This is a problem for a dress shirt because it doesn't iron well, so you don't get sharp creases on the sleeves. Last thing, Ministry messed up on the size of one of my polos, so I have to send it back.
