Yes python deserves 2nd place. But I think it is always better to learn C and C++ before Python. Atleast basics. I feel python mixes the concepts of object oriented and procedural for a beginner.

If you learn html, css, js and done some projects using them and show case them in git hub you can definitely get a web dev job in startup, but if you are interested in MNC job you will be needing an degree.

They don't have the experience of college and don't have any degrees then how they learnt to program apps and software by there own... And learning languages is enough for being successful in this profession.
