I struggle with over planning checking all the boxes. And lately I have been worrying about our son reading a little too slow. But I have to remind myself what you were saying… and that each child has his own natural timetable and we must accept and respect that… I decided to homeschool so I could have the freedom to respect my child. Excellent video! Thank you!

I love that you have recognized that in yourself. It can be hard, but there is change on the other side of seeing what needs to be adjusted. You've got this!

Thank you so much. Anxiety can be such a pain. I have the reading thing in common with you. I'm worrying a bit less...just hard not to still and ny child's interest is there as well as ability..but she just gets so mad that nothing continues. I hope she can get through it soon cause she seems interested.

Year round school for me is not scheduled breaks. We just do school any day we want and don't when there's something more exciting to do.

I was too hard on myself, compared myself to other moms.

We all go through this at some point. But, once we recognize it, we can keep it in check. There is so much freedom once we embrace our homeschool.

5 years into this journey and I wish I would have spent a little longer on instilling good habits ie. Correct dish washing, putting things away, etc. And held off on more rigerous academics.

Such good insight. Did you pivot when you recognized this and started to focus on those habits instead?
