My EDC is the no-lock 340PD but I keep it loaded w/+P. It’s the perfect pocket gun but .357 ammo is much too painful, making quick & accurate follow up shots all but impossible. I’ve owned the gun for almost 20 years and have never had a single problem w/it.

Am I lost here, or could you just use 38+p+ or +p or spcl. or standard loads if the 357 is too much for you in the 340 pd or any other 357 mag? I don't think it was intended to be a range toy. In a situation where I had to defend my life with a snub nose, I'm sure recoil sting would be an afterthought if a thought at all.

Yep, it's amazing how tense and easy it is to keep your muzzle down when your adrenaline is dumping. In fact, a common occurrence when surprised is to fire most of your rounds into the ground between you and your assailant. I found that out the hard way!

I own a Taurus Model 66 .357 magnum with 2 1/2" barrel and adjustable sites that I will never sell! All stainless too!

Got away from Autos when I worked private security in some high security postings in New Orleans. Had a couple autos jam on me. My EDC is now a Taurus ultra- lite with .38 special +P. I also have a stainless Ruger security six .357 magnum if I need to step up my game. I live in the country now so other than the occasional crackhead my threat level is low. Speaking of Saturday Night Specials, when I was young I found a "PIC" .22 small revolver. My friends Dad found on us when I was a teenager and threw it in the Mississippi River when he went to work at the Shipyard.

Always respect the quiet, unpretentious, and confident man whose primary carry is a quality wheel gun... he's spent time on the range mastering it, is highly proficient with it, and knows realistically what it is and is not capable of. Of course, the owner/operator of any handgun, revolver, or semi auto should devote sufficient time to develop an expert level of competence with it/them.

Everyone should own a Saturday night special of some kind as a throwdown gun that is not registered and has no connection to you the ammo and gun should be free of fingerprints/dna and stored in something that keeps it that way. The gun doesn’t need to function properly only needs to justify what you did in a sketchy situation.

"Revolvers should have gone the way of the dodo." Eh, they have their place, and probably always will. There are lots of people that have arthritis or weak hand strength to rack a slide. There's the Ruger Security 380, of course. But even if you've never fired a gun before, I'm sure if I gave you a revolver, you'd know how to reload it.

No, you only think it was informative. These guys have no idea what they are talking about. These are canned, clickbait videos and nine times out of ten, the gun they are showing you isn't even the gun they are talking about. Listen for that narrator's voice, when you recognize it, go to some other video. This narrator is well associated with clickbait videos and has no clue what he is saying or talking about.

Yes, the S&W K frame models 10/64 2" bbl. are two of the best revolvers ever made. It's a shame that they are no longer produced. At one time I owned both. I wish I still did. My primary, EDC is a S&W 638 with standard velocity 125 gr JHP. I carried it (or the models 38/49/649) on & off duty since the late 80's.

A lot to unpack on this video It seems to me your a auto fan boy you just made this video to try to show your balance But clearly your not you pick for you first pistol as a pew pew I believe can't be legally imported in to this country since 68 next you pick a hunting Pew Pew nobody is going to carry that for protection and that one made in Germany that's a collector piece probably will never be fired just like that french pistol I own a Taurus and have no problem with it and .38 cal has served the nations police for decades

really check , all firearm manufacturers have some just no.count .even the bargin , medium price ,higher dollar firearms with mass production sometimes it can't be helped or sloppy workers having a bad day.thats why they have warranty and costumer service and recalls. its just a thing that happens to the so called best brands to the bargain firearms. it doesn't meat most firearm manufacturers are bad, it means quality control is lacking somewhere. papa😊

Any Taurus is pure junk. The revolver in general is the most reliable sidearm in history. What a crock of sh!t...a Saturday Night Special? LOL Get off the internet dude!
