Regarding near hits; I have experienced and seen so many videos where a winning combination appears just above or below the line. This can happen over and over. So my question is if the machines are truly based on random numbers why do the winning combinations appear so often above and below but rarely on the line? This does not appear random.

So, let me explain what is going on here. After 2015, a law changed that allows game manufacturers to program the slot machine to show a "near hit". PLEASE UNDERSTAND though, that this happens AFTER the determination from the RNG has already been done. So, this basically means, if the RNG has determined the spin to not be a winning spin, the slot game can then show a "near hit". They are not allowed to manipulate the determination of the RNG though.. that's the critical take-away.

In the end it’s still a losing spin, it just frustrates you more because it appears to be close to winning something big. Slot machines have done that since the beginning. Go back to old mechanical reel single line machines. They often would display near misses. And they didn’t even have a computer controlling the outcome. They only had a finite number of outcomes determined by the number of symbols on each reel. But it was enough to still get a lot of near misses.

I go to Tampa! Good luck and hit big! When I win depending on the amount I just say to myself that will pay whatever bill I have. It helps me hold onto it because it’s tempting to put it back in! I won enough once that it would cover my rent and I still had money to play left over to play. It made the month easier for me and easier not to put it back in!! Yup it's hard to hang on to wins. But only should play with entertainment money, and never the rent money. I think I have been taking my entertainment money back and forth to the casino for 20 years. Sometimes it's a lot, and sometimes not so much. My strategy that works for me, is if get small jackpot print out ticket and put away. If want to play more add more money. But save ticket, and add up tickets at the end, and be surprised by how much is there. Is it hard yes, took many years to be successful with this method. But makes me happy to compare if I won or lost or broke even. And always go home with money. Good luck. Have never been to Florida, it's on my bucket list.

I played that machine last night, had burning fuses on all 3. Which lead me to keep betting. The purple only had one more tube to light, it took like 10 purple deals to shoot up into that one little last tube to actually get anything, and I went up maybe a hundred. It’s all to keep the player interested and excited. A lot of these grand jackpots you cannot ever hit unless you bet max. Read the rules of the game.

Ive gotten pulled in by a few of those tricks. Thankfully i was playing them on a phone app for free and thats a good way to get an education before you hit the actual casino, i think. One thing that used to keep me playing is when you make your first spin and some cool music starts playing, and continues on. Fading out gets you to hit the button again to bring the volume back up and keep it playing, while you keep playing.

Such a great channel. I am a completely different player after watching many of these videos. I know I can win on any spin at any time. No more chasing or thinking the next spin is the one. I know now they’re all the same. It’s great knowledge to have. I actually find myself feeling bad for players thinking they can influence the game by rubbing the screen or fast stopping or changing bets, all of which this channel has explained are useless.

On Dollar Storm..i was betting $2.50......i got the feature ball bonus...so i waited and went and got a drink and a snack..so i was away at least 8 minutes...i came back..started the bonus and the Extra Chance ball. dropped in..which was later a $2500.........i also had luck like that on Mighty Cash..i waited about 15 minutes then 2 minors came in the bonus...i was only betting 40 cents.....

I think it doesn’t matter. Progressive picking bonuses are predetermined though, most of the time. It gives the illusion that you have equal chance to win a $10,000 grand or a $10 mini. In reality, you’re winning the mini 99% of the time. You never even had a chance to win anything else most of the time.

Went to my local casino here in Jackson, CA and was playing this easy money machine and wasn’t having to much luck-a little, but nothing big. Then my friend said there was a Easy Money Gold machine right on the other side, so I thought why not. Well I put maybe $30 and got nothing so I quit. Walked back by the Easy Money 10:02 10:02 machine I had just been playing and looked and this guy that was sitting next to me had moved to that machine and hit it for $5,000!

Outcome is not predetermined. You are basically picking the volatility of the games come up. More games = conservative. Fewer games = riskier (because you get more lines)

One myth is that casinos want you to lose every time. And also they never want slot players to get a huge win or jackpot. They certainly want players to get jackpots, it shows other players that it can be done so as to encourage them to keep playing and spending their money. They also know that a big win keeps you coming back. It gives them the chance to perhaps actually take more money from you because you will play more aggressively and end up giving it all back. The last thing a casino would want to do is ban someone who wins a lot of money. They want you to come back so you can lose it all.

Here in Wisconsin, my friend and I found out from a casino host that the average percentage hold on penny machines is around TWICE that of 3-reel quarter (and higher denomination) slot machines. I have refused to play online slots for the simple reason that I think I would lose too much. It’s too easy to keep playing if you’re losing since you don’t have to go get more money at an atm like at a real slot machine. Seeing the actual money go in makes the losses seem more real.

Would like to see someone in the know about the who pushes the button "law" theory, which might vary state to state. I have heard of people trying to switch who gets the payout on hand pay and casino went with who's player card was in the machine on the winning spin, which makes sense since this implies it's that players funds which are more likely used to play that spin (switching cards before payout doesn't work since it's already recorded and the machine might not allow the switch until the payout is cleared.

While I agree with point one in many circumstances, when it comes to games such as Rich Little Piggies, the features are set to trigger by certain points, and so the size of the pigs does actually indicate something. Not all games are this way, but some are set to hit by certain thresholds and so you just have to know which games are designed this way so you don't fall into traps.

I’d argue buying a bonus isn’t as bad as you would think. I’m sure we’ve all sat at a machine and blew 100-150x of your bet to not even hit a single bonus.

The buying a bonus isn’t what people think it is. You’re spending say $500 to buy a bonus for about a $15 bet. You’re gambling that the bonus will be better than average and you’ll make a profit on your buy in. I’ve seen a few slot channels try this. It’s hit and miss. The more attempts you make, the more it ends up being a losing bet. Just like every other random spin of a slot machine.

If you have matched the symbols and afterwards the game reveals where all the other symbols were then it is not predetermined. If you pick your symbols and it gives you the prize but doesn’t reveal where the other symbols were then it was predetermined and wouldn’t have mattered what you picked anywhere.

Years ago, an old lion machine at the MGM Las Vegas finally hit the progressive jackpot after many many years, I want to say 20 years but I'm old so memory may not be accurate as to the amount of years. But it was written up in the Las Vegas newspaper, so the info might be available on line.😢

Slot machines don’t care what day or the week it is. Each spin is independent and random regardless. Day of the week and time have no role in slots at all.

I absolutely hate that last slow spinning reel, especially on the Buffalo games. The only way to prevent it is to stop it prematurely which I don't like to do. I feel like the machine is laughing at me. "So dummy, you think you might get that bonus this time? BWAAHHA" 😁

Any games with an enormous big jackpot are going to be horrible games to play. You’re not going to win that $100,000 jackpot. You are the one funding that jackpot with your play.

Another big myth is playing the machine with the biggest progressive jackpot amounts. Many slot channels do this. You’re not more likely to win the major if it’s at $1500 or $3000. Yes it would be nice to win the larger amount but basing your choice solely on that isn’t going to increase your chances of winning it.

Do not use the ATM at the casino. It charges extortion level fees and you spend more than you should. Bring what you can lose. Nothing more
