Coombs use to be even more weird and wonderful. The shops are similar but they use to have a kids hay rides, the mini golf, and other quirky things (as in the 90s era) they have kind of focused in on the goats on the roof and did away with the potential liability parts.

@qualicumwilson5168
@qualicumwilson5168 3 жыл бұрын
When you go to Pacific Rim park the village of Tofino is not in the park but the road to it goes through the park. Anywhere OUTSIDE of the park, you can "park" a vehicle for free. Inside the National Park, you must get a visitors pass and pay for parking if you want to visit it. Go to Ucluelet and park free on Willowbrae Road are walk into Halfmoon Bay (or go to Wrech Beach). You will almost always get a much less crowded west coast experience and still be in Pacific Rim Park. Definitely walk the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet one of the best trails on Van Isle, a place with some of the best trails in the world. Yes, it is THAT good.

Best time to see bears is early spring. After hibernation they are HUNGRY and just stuff themselves with the grass on the side of the highway (the forest canopy is so thick that grass will not grow on the forest floor).
