I personally loved the value that it offers at the price point. Answer to your question: if you’re only using the Classic to ride within the city and to nearby places on weekends, then don’t go for the Deluxe Footpegs. The standard one is comfortable enough for short to medium rides. If you plan to go on long-distance, multiple day rides, then the deluxe pegs offer some degree of comfort over the standard ones. Also, vibrations are reduced to some extent. But that does not mean that the standard pegs have a lot of vibrations. They are pretty vibration-free up to 100 kmph

Depends on what your budget is. The 650 is fairly more expensive than the Classic. Also, the larger engine and bigger build makes it highway-ready. The Redditch series, even though being the base variant, is really good. What are your concerns regarding the wheels and brakes exactly?

@@SharanShagun I've always had alloys in my bikes till date so that gives me tubeless tyres. With Spoked wheels, I will get tube type tyres which will get punctured immediately. As for the brakes, is the rear drum an issue or it works just fine? If I customize C350 to add dual disc and alloys, it becomes costlier than Meteor which actually comes with Tripper and other features along with a more peppy tuning, bigger tank, alloys-tubeless by default.

Yes, I think in that case the Meteor should be the choice you should go for. Last weekend, I went on a 600 km ride with a group in which there were 2 meteors. Neither of them complained of fatigue or discomfort. The Classic 350 is comfortable too, but if you don’t want spoked wheels, tubed tyres or drum brakes, you could go with the Meteor. Might I also suggest testing the Honda H’Ness? You never know which bike could suit you, as it’s a very subjective affair.

You must test ride both the bikes extensively. Walk into the showrooms and sit on both bikes on the stand for 10-15 minutes aaram se. Get the feel of the bikes and see which one is calling out to you. Both bikes are very well built with refined engines. Both are capable of all-day touring. It all comes down to your personal preference and which saddle you feel comfortable in. If I had to choose, personally, I would go with the Honda for its styling. Also, there’s going be a lot more competition in this segment in the coming months. Lots of new models coming up, so you could wait for a few months before deciding. Don’t worry about making the wrong choice, any bike you choose would be great for you and you’ll create great memories with it. All the best to you. Cheers!

There is some lag in power up in the mountains. Not too significant, but noticeable.

Yes, have ridden the Meteor within the city for a day. The gearbox doesn’t feel as refined as the Classic’s. Nor the suspension as precise. The Classic really supersedes the Meteor in every respect. (Except maybe in styling, but that’s subjective, so can’t comment)

It’s not particularly hard. It’s stiff, mainly because of the suspension setup. And because of the fact that it lacks the under-seat springs it used to have. Which I feel is great because we aren’t living in the 1950s anymore 😛 I didn’t feel any discomfort on my Mumbai-Alibaug-Mumbai ride. But if you want to do greater distances, I suggest using a gel pad or an air seat cushion. There are many in the market today for as low as ₹1000

Lol you’re absolutely right. I really don’t miss the springs while I was riding because the seat kept giving me feedback, even around corners. Of course! It’s a well balanced machine that is capable of pushing much farther than it’s predecessor. But having said that, please only go as far as you feel comfortable. Don’t go beyond your ability or comfort level as nothing is more important than your safety. The beauty of these bikes isn’t in how fast you can ride them or how far you can lean them. But in becoming one with the machine and enjoying the amazing vistas that wait for us beyond every curve. Enjoy your new bike, it’s a marvellous machine! ❤️

😂 Don’t be led into temptation There will be many bikes, no doubt extremely good and capable ones, that will come and go. But you have to remind yourself of the reason why you fell in love with and booked the Classic. Honestly, if I had to choose between the Classic 350 and the Dominar 400, I would pick the latter. But that’s a personal choice. And you have to make yours and enjoy it to the fullest 😊 Congratulations to you!

If you have the budget for 2 bikes, then definitely yes. If not, and you want to sell off your Duke 390, then might I suggest taking a test drive of the Interceptor 650? I recently rode it and the power delivery is very linear and smooth. Also, how long have you been riding the Duke for? If you give it some time, you’ll get used to the throttle response and will start loving it, even in city traffic ❤️

@@SharanShagun Thanks bhai for quick response I have been riding Duke from last one yr I am facing a very strange issue with my Bike its not starting without throttle input in the morning during cold start, SVC has cleared its throttle body but still problem is there I think i will keep my Duke for some time becoz I didn’t liked the looks of interceptor and it’s difficult to manage it in city

👍 So glad that we could be of help. I ride a 2017 Duke 390 as well, and the cold starting issue is something I have faced too. In my case, it wasn’t the throttle body but the fuel injector that was choked a little causing the issue. See if fixing that solves your problem, it worked for me. If you’re from Mumbai, take your Duke to the Andheri East service centre at Marol, and ask for Hari bhai. He’s the most experienced and resourceful technician I have met

Most fuel injected bikes these days require a working battery for many functions to operate. Meaning that even with a kick start, a dead battery would be of no use. Manufacturers provide a 4-year warranty on their new and light, lithium-ion batteries, which is more or less their natural life span. So in my opinion, a kick start would be wasted on this bike and would only add to the weight with no actual function to serve. So, if your battery dies, call the service centre and get it replaced.

Hey! Thank you so much for the compliment. I regret the issues you faced with your Thunderbird. I’ve been through the same with my 2017 KTM Duke 390 where the coolant was mixing with the engine oil and the service centre couldn’t fix it at all. I know how helpless you feel at that point. On another note, I’m very disappointed that you found my genuine reaction to be that of an RE fanboy or a paid promotion. In all honesty, let alone getting a single rupee from Royal Enfield, I chased them for months to lend me a motorcycle for a review and just kept getting useless emails in return. Maybe because they don’t entertain content creators who haven’t hit celebrity status, probably. I had to borrow my friend’s motorcycle, and he was kind enough to lend it to me. This was because I wanted to see for myself if Royal Enfield have really improved themselves or not. I’ve ridden many Bullets and Classics, starting from my father’s 1970s Bullet all the way to my friend’s 2016 Classic. I was just pleasantly surprised, something I really did not expect from RE. The fact that they brought fuel injected engines to the Classic itself was a major contributor to my joy. No, I don’t own a Royal Enfield. And probably never will. Hence, I won’t ever find out the pains that come with it. So, I shared only the joy one feels while riding the new Classic. Ownership feels will be part of a different video, if at all. Not aiming to misguide anyone, and my sincerest apologies if I did so 🙏

It’s a matter of personal taste and preference. Personally, I would go for the Honda for its reliability and international track record. But that is not a comment on Royal Enfield’s quality and reliability. They have truly outdone their own standards with the new 350 platform. So, any choice you make will be a good one here. I think the prices for all automobiles has gone up in January. So in comparison with its competition, the RE is still well priced I would say. Although, personally I feel the price was quite high even earlier

They’re both built for different purposes. However, if I had to choose one of the two, overall, I would choose the Himalayan for its versatility. The current Classic has a better, more refined engine though. But overall, the Himalayan is a more capable machine.
