Many stealth loadouts focus on having just a shotgun, and any other weapon for good concealment. This is very common, but definitely not the best choice! There are quite a few interesting weapons that you can bring for their unique utility: teleporting corpses of guards and civs, controlling ragdolls, unlocking faster interactions, zerking (lowering health for Yakuza) in risky spots, killing enemies through walls, placing custom waypoints or floating markers... and a lot more!

Having a weapon with high penetration makes Big Oil Day 1 even easier than it currently is, and also a lot more fun since you can wall bang the whole house from the basement to the top floor and guards across the map

Very true yes! You can also start the heist by taking out cams which is neat, but also runs where you challenge yourself by doing only wall-bang kills are really fun as well :D

These are some real good stealth weapon tips. Just tried out the arrow marking strategy, works wonderfully for me, because I naturally have very bad orienation and instantly forget where everything is. Thanks so much for doing these kinds of videos :D

@@axis5519 You absolutely can yup! They work in the same way as arrows, just like shurikens, javelins, etc... I didn't think about mentioning those because most of the time I use either Pocket ECMs, or molotovs. But if your build is compatible with throwing cards, that's a very good use for them!

You forgot to mention the minigun , obviously the best stealth weapon in the game by far ! ( Seriously though, i've never even considered these options , i've always picked the judge and another weapon to have 3 detections risks , but apart from that , i've never picked anything else , thanks for showing these options ! :) )

Glad you liked these alternatives, Trunks! Indeed the common approach is just shotgun + any weapon for 3 DR, but this variety can be excellent sometimes :D

personally, I tend to use the akimbo judges and the mini-chimano on full stealth, the latter because it barelly exist and it takes good advantage of the mechanics, and the former because it basically make the enemies fly much farther away than the standard, and skins aside, it's better under any real face than the single one as long as there are no glass surfaces around

Some great tips. I never knew about pushing ragdolls like that. For a while I used a CAR4 modded for stealth and either the Locomotive or Judge. I have a 2x scope on the CAR4 so I can see things at a distance more easily, and I can also use it to shoot enemies near glass with less risk of stray shot pellets breaking anything. More recently I have tried using the Raven shotgun as a primary and an MP5 with a 3x scope as a secondary. I jokingly call it a pair of binoculars with a trigger.

For the CAR-4 you can actually use a secondary scope with x6.25 zoom (which is great to see in the distance), and even the Locomotive has this one now! Not sure about the Judge though, because I never use that one...

Payday: The game where shooting a body 100 times is a more efficient way of moving it away than using your hands. Great work Marc! Edit: Had a thought: it would be cool if you showed what the average time save would be for faster interaction. This is a pretty underrated mechanic, especially for speedrunners. I'd take a guess and maybe 15 seconds for the longer heists? (With no help from players or downtime)

Haha true! Many heisters often request being able to drag bodies (like in Hitman) and, while it's not an explicit mechanic, we can kinda do this :p As for your question, some factors are very hard to quantify, but the difference is definitely noticeable. If we compare the downtime of usual shotguns (~0.567s) to the Gecko/pistols downtime (0.3s), that's a 0.25s difference. After every interaction, you will be able to start sprinting 0.25s earlier, and for chained interactions, you will explicitly save that amount of time inbetween each pair of interactions. Also throwing bags will happen sooner, sprinting with light loot, etc...

@@kotzpenner Excellent for speedruns yup, basically a necessity (for this reason you can see that many recent speedruns always use pistols, because the faster interactions are now a must-have for WR). The time-save really depends on the length of the heist of course, and whether or not it has light loot. For short rushes maybe 5s (Election Day, lots of interactions; Diamond Store lots of bags; Hostile Takeover insane amount of interactions), but for longer rushes it's gonna keep adding up every time you do any interaction, place any deployable, swap your weapons, bag any light loot, etc!

Ever since I saw your Breakin' feds guide, the plainsrider bow has been my 'primary' weapon for stealth. Nice video! Many people just pick a high concealment weapon and forget about it, so it's nice to see some unorthodox stealth weapons having a use :)

This is such an amazing tip video for stealth! I didn't even know you could sweep away a guard ragdoll with full auto like that, and the bow tip is super awesome as well! Being able to mark a keycard or wire box with an arrow like that is just amazing, though you could probably just use a javelin for the same purpose. My only question is, what if you bring the incinerary round grenade launcher for a normal yakusa run 8nstean of an ecm rush, could you use those rounds to sweep away ragdolls like the full auto pistles too?

The ragdoll pushing is indeed one of the best tips here :) It would also work with explosive weapons (HE, grenade launchers...) but sadly the incendiary rounds do not have any kind of push / knockback, so anything that would be able to push bodies in this context would also be extremely loud.

akimbo styrk is good for anarchist dsod and basically every stealth loadout. The important thing to note is that stryk raises concealment, so make sure to attach stealth supressors and a concealment boost.

Stealth suppressors yes, definitely! But for stealth, don't bother with a concealment boost - just XP boost, to be a real contributor to yourself and your entire crew! :D

Something else, a MICROSCOPIC niche you didn’t mention. Dragon’s Breath for full on rushing, wherein the triads can be stunned for an actual kill, and other certain spots where a stun would be helpful for a kill.

Nice video as always! 2 more things: - the akimbo parabellum can reach 31 concealment without boosts, so you can get 31 concealment + team boost - a grenade launcher can be used to easily break the glass boxes on diamond store

Interesting! Never thought the Akimbo Parabellum could be good for something. Nowadays there's also a very good one, the CAR-4, which can reach 31 concealment without boosts. Good enough for 14 DR! *EDIT:* as for the Grenade Launcher, I'm not very convinced because Pistols would allow you to throw each bag earlier due to their fast animations, saving a bunch of time after 18 bags... but I guess it can be nice and fun when just doing casual runs :D

I've been using grom for stealth since around 3 years ago, glad to see wall penetration featured here! It can sometimes save the heist when civilian spots something on the other side of the map (happens a lot in pubs, I'm looking at you The Diamond's basement), to which you can try and snipe them through the floor. My favorite party trick though is killing Sosa early in Scarface Mansion, before lock picking the door to his office. If you do that, the whole balcony area is going to have an invisible wall surrounding it. There's also one surprisingly good weapon that's a bit under-rated (I haven't seen anyone use it) - it's the secondary flamethrower. It, paired with max ammo and Stockholms makes it ridiculously good on map control heists. Since it's so loud, only a couple of taps from the middle of the map are enough to get every civilian down. It's also rather concealable, and the amount of ammo you have means that you practically wont have to reload, ever.

Haha the Sosa trick is fantastic yup! The best part is when your crew tries to throw the loot out the balcony as usual, but the bags collide against the invisible wall :D First time I saw that 'bug' I actually killed him with a regular shotgun - just a bit too quickly after the door was opened! The flamethrower is indeed amazing for Stockholm purposes (300m loud range), but I personally prefer the saw _if_ the heist has any stuff to saw open! Because then I can have that, plus a shotgun for its utility.

agreed here with marc about gecko, eventually you could use the 5/7 for wall pierce but you might pierce the wall and kill a civ or break glass (whatever reason to raise alarm), and with gecko instead a shotgun you cant make a guard iirc "intimitated" (crouch animation) which marc also had a video. Also gecko doesnt shoot the fences or doors you can open with a couple of bullets / 1 tap with shotgun. In a situation where guard instantly spots you theres no need to change to the shotgun and yeet him somewhere if you use gecko.

Worth noting that high ROF is also much better for shooting locks on weak doors, the best being the Akimbo Micro Uzi with 2x1200 ROF

if you want to use something else as a primary say a saw or something and still want to use the arrow trick to track keycards or loot or whatever, another thing i use in the same sense is javelin throwables but if you need more than 3, throwing knives and ninja stars also work the same way though a little harder to see due to their size

The Akimbo Heather SMGs are of special note for body pushing. 28 base concealment, 64 magazine, and stupidly fast reload. RoF isn't as nice though. The fire is crazy. I love Payday logic with silent grenades. Too bad I love my PCMs too much.

Interesting! I personally settled for Akimbo Mark10 because of its insane magazine size and reasonable reload speed (also able to reach 3 DR with typical shotguns), but I might try the Heather for whenever I'm playing with Locomotive (less concealment). I'm writing this one down, thank you! :D

Hey Hugo! Very simple answer: I do indeed interact four times faster than usual (2.5s per panel instead of 10s) - it's an option you can enable from your inventory. Basically, I have my BOTS equipped with the QUICK upgrade. Go to inventory, from there check "Crew Setup", and equip them with the "QUICK" boost. For every bot present in the lobby (up to 3), your interaction times get cut down by 25%.

Haha! We do what we can, with the tools that we have :p In PAYDAY3 it seems we'll be able to actually drag guards (while they're alive), and then move their corpses without body bags, which sounds neat!

You can also use playing cards throwable weapon to mark stuff. I remember back in the day i was throwing cards all over the body of insider girl in First World Bank, just to watch how she going around though walls, and then it hit me, i can mark anything i want with theese, haha. Only issue is a pickup radius, cards are pretty easy to grab back.

Hey Veal! You can definitely consider it, some heisters are very good with AP Judges, and you do not lose the launch effect, which is nice. Just be very careful, and mindful of windows behind your target!

im very tired and im trying to do these things but at 2:35 how are you reloading so fast so at the start you said many use shotgun forgeting about primary. i use a tempest rifle because good concealment and i use it to shoot and intimidate civs with noise which is a thing you didnt talk about... but most bank heists your crew will just kill all civs with no consequence. but that stockholm skill may be a little incorrect with the 50% longer maybe do a video on stuff that is misleading im considering swapping it out for a ragdoll pushing weapon.

Hey muaddib! Loud primaries for Stockholm Syndrome are indeed a very good choice, but they aren't "Underrated" nor "Uncommon" (since they are very common for heists like GO Bank), so I decided to not mention them here because of the video title! As for the fast reload at 2:35, I have the AI perk that increases reload speed (Accelerator), and also I equipped the weapon with a 'Speed Pull Mag', for faster reloads.

Hey chomusucke! I have a video demonstrating it in detail here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bp-IdNd5z7expps.html But basically assuming you have Frenzy basic (not ace), take 4 fire ticks, then 2 fire ticks. That should leave you with 0.4 health!

for triggering sw you can use light crossbow with explosive bolts however it will damage you if you arent careful with spacing

That is correct connor, yup! Its main benefit is its lower Unlock Level, meaning you can use it before HE Judges (while infamy farming). However, as you mention, its damage is absurdly high, and the reload isn't very friendly for rushing heists... so it's not very liked in general, sadly!

I actually find my self usually using the raven shotgun and some sort of high concealment pistol. The pistol is handy incase I’m fine with where the guard is and _don’t_ wanna fling a guard into where everyone can see them

For shadow raid keycards you can just find where it is before hand and then shoot the ceiling so you know exactly where to go

That is very true yup! Good way to keep track of it from below, once you've found it. Although you still have to do the jumping for a while until you spot it - which you can just skip with the arrows!

any pistol with high damage, high concealment is also really really good as a secondary. White Streak, Baby Deagle and any kind of pistol that can one shot any enemy on any difficultly makes it for me. I use the white streak, alongside my KSG as my own stealth build.

Pistols in general are extremely strong yup, especially because of their faster equip times (leading to faster interactions). For actually killing guards I prefer the Gecko or other shotguns (since the launch is so strong), but there's nothing wrong with pistols as an alternative!

Hey RealYella! I did not test Overkill Aced unfortunately because most builds nowadays don't have points to afford it, but I did test the +320% Swap Speed from the Copycat perk deck, which did not speed up the time inbetween interactions. (we can assume same for ovka, most likely)

Very good point yup! Especially in some pacifist ECM rushes, having a weapon with sub-40 damage is excellent. Plus the regular STRYK is great too for faster interactions (pistol equip time) and also has great RoF. Solid weapon choice!

Very true yup! Those throwables are very good if you don't bring a Bow, although they also limit your perk deck considerably (no Hacker, and often no Yakuza). It's good to keep all the options in mind so you have the best combination for each heist!

Hey Dawnified! I didn't think about mentioning those because most of the time I use either Pocket ECMs, or molotovs. But if your build is compatible with throwing cards (or javelins / knives / shurikens), that's a very good use for them!

Just a shower thought, I'm dropping it here cause you are THE stealth guy. On midland ranch, can you open both termite doors to do both sides at the same time? Either by duping the termite or noclipping thru the door or something. Can both objectives be done or you need to finish one to start the other?

Hey Diego! Excellent question. Under normal circumstances, this is not possible: you can only open one door at a time. However, if you could dupe the thermite, you might be able to open both at the same time! Unfortunately duping is a lot harder these days, so you would need a crew with a lot of patience for restarts :(

Are you sure? It might be some of your mods (there are mods to remove hidden interaction delays like the Bag Interaction Cooldown among others), because in vanilla I still need to re-equip my weapon after performing any interaction hmmm...

Yes! I've been playing these last few days, and the interactions work the same as usual: when you finish an interaction (interacting with an object, or picking up a bag) the weapon animation plays, preventing you from starting any new interactions or sprints until this animation finishes. Are you sure you understand this concept? Because the interaction itself lasts for the same time, it's just that you're free to interact again earlier, leading to more interactions in less time.@@muaddib4378

If it was possible then the desert fox sniper or that newer secondary sniper but mainly the desert fox would be best since imo it has the best balance of power, mag size in case you miss and concealment along with decent accuracy. Concealment can get to 23 or 24 and the dmg can 1 shot alerted gangsters on any part of the body while the the lower dmg snipers take 1 shot head shot on alerted gangsters and 2 shot anywhere else.

Hey Oblivion! All pistols have identical equip times (~0.33s without Equilibrium) so any pistol will work for this purpose. I often use the 5/7 for its double purpose as Wall Penetrating weapon, but other common alternatives are the Gecko (shotgun push), Igor Automatik (for auto-pistols), Gruber Kurz (good concealment), Interceptor 45 (at Level 0)...
