Excellent video! 25:14 It's better than those mods to me because it respects the original artstyle. WD1 will look even better with contact hardening shadows combined with screen space shadows, volumetric clouds, properly working volumetric lighting that actually interacts with objects, and volumetric fog. AC4 featured volumetric fog back in 2013 on 8th gen consoles and PC.

That's a lot of work... tho idk if it can actually be done, I'd personally prefer for more volumetric lighting effects and volumetric fog but for that to interact with objects it'll have to be coded in... Doesn't sound like an easy undertaking for a single modder. Cause the game engine couldn't really be able to handle that complex lighting, shadows or volumetric stuff... So far I think WD1 graphics mods are really good... but I still haven't seen a mod that would hit home for me... like Some Mods have things that I really want to see in other mods and some mods are really good but due to some tiny inconsistencies or changes I just can't find the perfect mod... But so IMO The Fall of Windy City is really good... but I wish there was an option to enable headlight shadows and the third person camera was a bit farther from the character just like it is in the worse mod. But again bro... WD1 modding always leaves you wanting more XD

From what I remember headlight shadows can't be used because they are broken and there is currently no tool to fix it so yeah it will remain like that for probably ever

@@baigagee There is many mods out there that your missing, Next-Gen of The Worse, PS4 Relaunch Lite mod, Nextgen Graphics Overhaul 2, Exploit G3 The Modpack, and my mod pack E3 upgraded this one is not on nexus, you can find a link for it in the comments of the video i shared, try them you will at least like one of them, if your more about E3 try exploit g3, ps4 relaunch, or my merge and tell me about it

Great Video; well produced. A suggestion for the future, please try to record gameplay at a higher bit rate. KZfaq seems to have butchered the quality of the upload. Higher bitrate means less that KZfaq can butcher with its compression.

Noted !! I recorded it on 2k and I think the bitrate was set to 25,000 or smth... But sadly I wasn't able to render the video at 2k so yea... It was a bummer but I'll be sure to work on future videos keeping your suggestions in mind

Absolutely brilliant video. I find reborn to be the most pleasant experience but still hope we could actually be able to combine the best aspects of each mods that would be better. And yeah, you didn't include "next gen graphics overhaul 2" that is one hell of a great mod btw

All I got from this video is that Reborn has to get combined with Windy City. Because Reborn got most of the visuals and stuff you want and then Windy City actually did some original stuff that enhanced the base game.

Great video! Thanks for going into so much depth. Natural and realistic lighting has also been my go-to mod for a long time, I even made a moderately successful video comparing it to Watch_Dogs 2 back in 2017. Now, for its 10th anniversary, I wanted to replay Watch_Dogs and decided to go with Fall of the Windy City. Absolutely amazing mod! Again, great video and thanks for putting in the work. I saw your video and left a comment. Amazing work tho 💯FR FR. IMO get Fall of windy city merged with Living city and BOOM !! Best Watch dogs expereince you'll ever have PERIOD !! Some side tweaks would be to enable headlight shadows and fix the camera distance just like it is in the E3 2013 and you've got a perfect game on you 😉Thanks to Modders and the passionate community keeping this game alive

That's odd... 🤔bcz I can see the files, Just follow the link in the description. It should work fine. Also the Mod was discontinued bcz of some game crashing issues. So you won't see the manual install button. Just go into files tab and you'll find the 1.2 Release files there in nexus. Hope it helps :)

What kind of graphics card is recommended for these graphics mods?

I don't think it should be that demanding... I'm just using a Rx 580. So any card above that should do. I'm playing at 2k res asw... so over all any entry-level graphics card can handle these mods at 1080p.

Yea I tried that... it's a good mod that brings in a lot of cool features and stuff... but the contrast was too much for my taste... so it didn't end up making the video sadly.

Not really... watch dogs is quite tricky to mod... it's not like GTA sadly xD. The mods in this video are Mod Packs. But you can try to make your own mod pack but some mods wouldn't be compatible with other mods and it'll be a mess to deal with 😅

I mean pretty much all the mods should work just fine... since there's not a big performance hit. Every mod on the list brings it's own features and improvements. So you gotta see which mod works the best for you

@@dennisthemenace4288 With most these mods I didn't notice too big of a hit. I have a mid tier PC Rx580 even low by some ppl's standards xD and I was playing it with a stable frame rate at 2k with everything at ultra. Without any over-clocking The game actually runs just the same as vanilla in my experience... So I think you'll be fine for the most part with these mods ;)

@@dennisthemenace4288 In my experience I didn't really notice too much of a performance drop... There might have been a subtle one but not something that I noticed... Btw during the recording of this video I found some hiccups with the Revival mod... But again... I was recording. Anyways the hit shouldn't be that massive or noticable IMO.

How come the File download for the worse mod says 0.97a and not 1.0?

@@baigagee I guess so. I'm in love with E14. It tries to replicate the color palette of the 2013 gameplay trailer that occurs during the day. It doesn't attempt anything fancy; it simply tweaks the color palette slightly, and the game suddenly looks like a Next Gen Remaster. While all mods look good at night, this one looks good both during the day and at night.

@@jassykat I tried the E14 too I think... but it looked too vanilla for me and didn't look too different than the original game. The colors are nice but the atmospheric effects and the other changes and features in that mod are mild compared to some other mods. Again... It's all about subjectivity
