No, he is just terrible across the board, the only redeeming factor is his range. They all praise hunter for having fd and they say there are every few "ground" towers who have fd, if they can take their time and check the tower list once, they would realise that militant, ace, engineer and gso exists who does hunter's role better. But then they give excuses like how militant should not have been buffed, ace is not a "ground" tower, engineer is expensive and they even asked what a gso is. When i told them what gso is, they said soldier needs the gold perk to be good. They basically admitted that militant and gso are just better at hunter's role. Normal soldier isn't bad at all as well, he can clear molten way faster when compared to the towers in the rest of his class, allowing you to get coins faster, therefore allowing you to start saving for intermediate towers like militant and ace. He is also pretty decent in fallen early game which hunter already struggles on. Why waste 300 coins on a bad tower when you can save just 100 more for an actually decent tower?

Paintballer back then was supposed to be a demoman but faster and weaker i guess? He didn't even change at all, his stats are the same, his animations are the same, and the only thing he ever got was a default skin change (and i guess green paintballer but that skin buggy a hell)

@Brazil0987 it original came from a code, but was added in the shop during the solar eclipse event which was my personal favorite event and is a reason why I never forget hunter, according to WikiaColors, using hunter and crook boss was useful for night 1, also hunter was buffed some time after it came back in the shop

@@CarterLam1014Sorry but I meant for example at lucille strat it uses only 2 lvl 1 freezer, a dps and ace pilots and one that is lvl 4 to give hidden detection to kill the mega slow! That just shows how underrated freezer is even at lvl 1! And yep freezer has the hidden detection in lvl 4 and the ability frost grenade :)

When both Mortar and Rocketeer were garbage in 2021, Rocketeer was still worse and basically clown. Cherry on top, you can find a lot of videos from 2021 about which tower is the worst in tds. Rocketeer is guaranteed to be there.

@handleislol Well, it can be stunned and had dead zone, unlike mortar. But mortar has no hd and you also can't place him everywhere.

@handleislol i can see a case for both, Rocketeer has better single target dps(the one in the wiki for mortar is wrong), cheaper to max by quite a bit, quite better cost efficiency, higher placement limit, is a ground tower and has hidden detect. Mortar has better splash damage potential with the clusters and a higher splash radius, higher range, stun immunity and no dead zone. They are kinda equal in terms of pure stats and 1 on 1 comparison, but i get why most people value mortar more since they like him for the better cc.

I place 2 maxed minigunners and a level 2 commander. Results are nearly the same.

@@laisksjjsjs566 mortar can detect flying and leads and it great for crowds, g mini lvl 2 spam can shred mid game crowds, accelerator is incredibly useful for dps, and has hidden and lead detection, plus can shred both crowds and single high health enemies, engineer can be used for early, has flying, lead, and hidden detection, plus at max lvl it’s war machine sentries do explosions so are good for crowds, and brawler can be used for early, can stun plus knock enemies back, gets lead and hidden detection, and can hit flying enemies with its reposition ability and can offer incredible crowd control with its reposition.

1. frost blaster is far superior for stalling as it has lead and hidden detection, plus it can hit multiple enemies at once 2. Rocketeer is not the best tower in tds. For the high placement cost, you could get 2 lvl 2 mortars instead which would do similar damage, don't have a deadzone, have more range, and don't clog up space for towers that aren't shit. 3. There is literally no point in using hunter when golden soldier and ace pilot exist 4. I hope this is rage bait

Rocketeer does not have more dps than a maxed out minigunner, he only does if splash damage is involved. And even then, any tower with splash damage can reach dps higher than that of the top tiers with enough enemies. And don't even get me started on placement limit and cost efficiency.

This tower has the exact same issue with mine layer in tdx, why spend money to catch leaks when you can just upgrade defences in the front to not leak. Also military base and crook boss spawns can catch stuff in the back and push their way to the front to support their as well

@@okgoose3305 ok i used both freezer and sledger in separate molten matches, and i admit, sledger is better than i thought, but still worse than freezer, this is because of how expensive sledger is, ur are paying 35K+ for a tower that is heavily reliant on other freezing towers or more sledgers for damage, sure it freezes a good amount but its range is ass. freezer is cheap (less than 8k to max in total) but stupidly effective tower, its got decent range, good fire rate, ass dps (cause its support tower), great ability. get like 5 freezers or smth and set them to diff targets, and its better than sledger. old sledger much better

u can win solo with 4 slots which means u can solo hardcore with any tower

Militant and ace got buffed, they completely bury hunter's role as a early game fd tower. Sniper is a starter tower, and i think it is pretty decent for one, hunter is unfortunately between sniper and soldier, but sniper is free and soldier is only slightly more expensive, there isn't really a reason to get hunter.
