Talat saab will remain my favourite for ever and ever. Though Rafi saab,kishore da and mukesh ji were there, Talat saab had a distinctive gifted voice which all three singers mentioned above would agree. Who says Talat saab is no more... Ae dil mujhe aisi jagah le chal....I loved this song when I was a 9yr old kid, though I didn't understood the lyrics at that time but still my father narrated each line and explained the meaning of that particular line by establishing a perfect scenario for a better understanding........(I'm 18 now but still I figured out way earlier that why old people don't like our generation songs)

During my Army training days in 1974 in then Madras Talat Ji came to O.T.S. Madras. I was fortunate enough to hear him personally in a small audience. All these songs suddenly brought my past in front of me. Talat Ji's voice as soothing and refreshing as it was 50 years back. Those who heard him same stage with Mehdi Hasan Saab suddenly realised how Bollywood had neglected such a jewel.
