Important part is the store I bought on line told that I can easily constant with icarsoft and update the scanner sold me but after I got the scanner I tried on several cars when I saw is not working the way supposed to work I contacted the company and never be able could speak and hold on any one! And finally returned the scanner back! Scanner with out good care and service worth noting!!!

When you say the icarsoft can do the electronic park brake, this is for like replacing brake pads with electric park brake or is this only for changing the actual handbrake assembly, being able to put the car in 'workshop mode' is that part of the park brake function?

Why dont more manufacturers make a tool that covers everything at a fair price? These tools are all cheaply made, and the extra bell and whistles such as display type and rubber cases etc. do NOT justify the premium price asked. The data exists, manufactures choose to not include it to sell more/ newer units to maximize profits.

Ironically am looking At Autel MK808TS....because it can read TPMS sensors data at the wheels. Correct me if I'm wrong but it is not bidirectional. Another is the MP808TS....both are up there in cost, but I tinker with numerous cars so to me it might be worth it.

Hi , interesting video as I am trying to decide which type of scanner to go for. I see that both these scanners are the level that may suit me. Currently i have 2 issues on both my own vehicles. BMW 1 series has a misfire on a cylinder. I have spent hours and hours learning various things about modern cars and electronics. I figured that I need to check the codes for each injector , also I feel i will have to replace an injector and therefore i will need to code it. The 2nd issue i have is on a fiat ducato motorhome. I am getting a message on the dash , check glow plugs. I want to know if the scanner will give me a bit more info regarding if there is a fault on 1 glow plugs , or 2 glow plug relay, or 3 the glow plug controller. Appreciate this may be a bit unfair to ask, but this is all new territory for me. My past has been around classic cars and early bosch fuel injection systems. Thank you. the C.R Pro is where I think I am at for an old DIY r like myself.

Many Icarsoft stop reading engine codes after updating, forever… even the pro… so you will have a code reader that doesn’t read codes (engine) the rest will be fine and you will be able to erase engine light but not to read the code that explain why the light is on… Icarsoft… like having a bottle opener that doesn’t open bottles…

Knowing the fault code wouldn’t give any customer any idea what it might cost to repair their car, or if they are “being ripped off.” A fault code can set due to faulty sensors, wiring, modules, power or ground connections, software issues, or unusual outlying problems caused by other systems. In fact once some codes set, monitors stop running and other faults may arise once the known issue is fixed. The problem in our industry is the less people know, the more likely they think they got ripped off. (And sometimes they do also get ripped off) But more often than not the customer has no idea what’s going on, but saw something on the internet so assumes the worst.

I bought a Foxwell 650 Elite last year....2020 . paid about 160 bucks for it . The screen went bad on my Autel . when time came to use the foxwell after registering and updating , I couldn't understand it . It was to complicated for me , I'm in my mid 60's . most people my age are the tweeners . we were before the computers when we grew up . There's not much youtube help with this tool . Some electronics can be challenging for some of us . You know , when you go visit your grand parents and they hand you arms full of electronics and ask you " can you fix this for us " ....LOL . I built at lot of pro-street cars through the years but these you didn't need high tech tools like today . Im sure the foxwell I bought is a fantastic tool , but its to hard to understand for me . I have to get a new one that's for the old , crippled and mentally challenged I guess . I have a 2016 LTZ Tahoe that's got everything......every-thing ..... my retirement vehicle ...80 grand . everytime I take it to the dealership even with my warrenty its usually 200 to 400 bucks . I'm not sure why you are advertising for Icarsoft scanner ! I got one icarsoft professional but wasn't good for nothing at all. Not even be able to do ABS or SRS. In power menu was telling be able to diagnostic all Mercedes but I tried 2013 350 coup k serials and scanner couldn't scan the car and I be able to find the problem! Icarsoft company is laying with putting multiple cars professional scanner on their v2 or mb scanners because I tried both and quite trying again!

It's also possible that mechanics unite and create these diagnostic tools to give you falls readings so that you care constantly in their shops for constant unnessary repairs. The word updates is a tipoff on how dirty the car business is. What people want is a standalone diagnostic tool that they can pop in and let them know what is wrong with their car. Then they remove the tool and only use it again if a problem pops up or to do a monthly check. Updates enslaves you to paying for constant checks.

No, No, No. Ive been looking into which scan tool to buy & have found plenty that offer free updates but users are complaining that even with the latest updates, their scan tool can still only use EOBD features for vehicles up to 2013. The OBD2 features are fully functional but as Ive learnt, thats nearly useless if you want to fault find the other systems. Free updates do not guarantee your tool will be even close to updated.

So in effect, these are all gps devices, like a cell phone, that can be updated at any time. You dont really own it...if one day you wake up and its "no longer supported" and you have to buy a new one.

You don't need a high end scanner for a check engine light? Ok, if you want to throw parts at the car and cross fingers. That will cost you time and money. If you want a scanner that can actually test the car and give info to Actually diagnose the real cause then you need a good scanner.

I spoke to Autel customer service who confirmed that MK808 is not designed for EU, apparently for UK the equal to MK808 is DS808 and MX808, and Autel never sells MK808 to EU. Also, apparently there are only two dealers in the UK that get products from Autel, while the rest dealers/suppliers get products from other unknown sources. Confusion is real...
