These jackets have different fits and are meant for different uses. Rab and Mountain Equipment have all their jackets in an alpine fit, you can't get mant layers under them, the Patagonia triolet and the Arcteryx have a regular fit which is much more roomy. I know this because i've spent hours trying them all on

Gorewear shakedry is still hardshell, but it is by far the best at regulating heat vs other rainproof materials. But yes, it still is no where near as breathable as a softshell

Foray 2 is one of the best for sure. I’m using a Rainshadow still or I’d have one. The 2023 model is great.

Hi I’m just wondering what the differences between the Makalu and the Lhotse are. Why would you choose the Lhotse over the Makalu, justifying the price etc ??? Cheers

Goretx Pro on Lhotse is more breathable than 3 layer goretex on makalu
