The F in Pagani Zonda F stands for Fangio. And the JS in the model name of both racing and road going Ligiers stands for Jo Schlesser

Elise. Best and cutest story. Grandfather’s love for his granddaughter. It doesn’t count if you just have a model name that already exists and then put a person’s name after it like the Balboni or BC. Even BB don't count as nobody even knows it so how is that really a car named after someone when it's a 512 first? Those are just models with a tribute instead of an actual model named after someone like the Elise or Senna.

How about the Ferrari Dino -- engines and later on cars named for Enzo's late son (the one he acknowledged). Or the Alfonso XIII Hispano Suiza, named for the king of Spain at the beginning of the last century, often said to have been the first purpose-built sports car. Or every car MB has built for the past century, "Mercedes" having been the given name of Daimler Benz's Parisian concessionaire. The Bardot story is magic, btw! (Oh -- just remembered: Alfa Romeo named an edition of the 2000 GTV [the one with the de Dion rear] for Mario Andretti who was driving F1 Alfas at the time. )

The Zonda F is named after Fangio, Horacio's gateway to almost everything related to his company. He shown Horacio's talents to Lamborghini (where he developed a Countach fully made of carbon fiber and aluminium), and i can't remember the rest😅. But i know that the original C12 was going to be called Fangio [something]. And after Fangio's death, Horacio changed the name of his first car and idk why, because it would be cool to see the 1st Pagani as a tribute. But said tribute came afterwards, as the Zonda F (yeah, i don't remember much of the story, but still, i'm telling what i know)

All Aston Martin DB's are named after David Brown, who owned the company for a while. The tractor guy.

Just an information. The Seicento isn't the only car Fiat named after Michael Schumacher. There's also a Fiat Stilo MS Edition.

Also in India fiat launched a special edition car in their existing car the fiat palio s10. It was named after the cricket player Sachin Tendulkar.

The bb name isn't as great as the Elise/Elisa story. My thoughts. That one was cool and to the point that she grew up and still apart of the picture, it is up there. The Benny Ciaola one was nice too. For the 3 HMs, 1, Ferrari Enzo, 3 the Edsel Ford and 2, C4 Picasso.

Another awesome vid! A customer of ours has one of these special edition evoques , the rose gold is just a sun faded bright pink it looks terrible, our customer also hated it and got all the trim repaired after a few weeks...!

Half the KZfaq car guys try to be sharp and witty but at best they're annoying and at worse unwatchable. Stype is the best. Even if l don't agree with what he's saying l still enjoy hearing it. I also like the fact that he doesn't have his face in the camera half the video. I watch car videos to see the cars, not some mook with a face for radio trying to crack feeble jokes. In otherwords l like this channel.

i think a "special edition" is stretching it a bit as "named after a person", especially if it's just a trim-level, considering the Enzo Ferrari is not a trim-level but a whole car. I mean the car's name is literally "Enzo Ferrari", some publications call it by default the "Ferrari Enzo", but when you Wikipedia the car, the name is arranged in the same order as the car's namesake founder. Very few car manufacturers have the audacity to challenge the naming schemes of cars like that, cuz usually the order is as goes: from left to right; model year; Name of manufacturer; name of model, engine specifications (like 4lit V6); sporty version tag (like AMG or GTR); body style tag; special edition tag.

Not sure if these are good video ideas but most powerfull car from every chassis from 0-60 and top speed stationwagen sedan suv supercar etc and a best engine sounds per cylinder count diesel edition
