BMX is a style of bicycles that seems to have remained the same for decades now. Let's admit it, what else can you improve in a BMX bike? Make it lighter by introducing more advanced materials? Introduce additional gear that could make riding and doing advanced tricks easier? How about adding a battery-electric powertrain for ease of commuting? It seems that some modern manufacturers decided to address the last question in this list and started designing BMX-style bicycles with electric motors.
Just like traditional BMX models, these innovative ebikes feature a lightweight construction, have frame geometry,low saddles and tall handlebars good for going tricks, but also introduce powerful motors and high capacity battery packs.
