I don't think you understand the definition of broken. How is explosive bullets broken ? It does exactly what it says and the explosive perk is working as it should, so why are you claiming it's broken ?

Defiant legendary got hidden effect that many don't use. 200% damage grenade and gun bash. Not shooting last ammo is effective and saves resources. 💣

It's another solid legendary effect. I did want to add it to the list but decided against it because it does require a little more strategic thinking when using. I instead went with effects that's are easy to pick up and use as well as the damage output of the effects themselves.

Wounding is also nutty with a weapon like a shotgun because each pellet gets the effect, so 8 x 25 = 200 extra bleed damage per shot. Combined with a semi automatic weapon mod and things get out of hand swiftly.

Yeah, I am strongly thinking of making some content around that specifically. Some might have an explosive shotgun just sitting in the workshop and not being used. I've recently taken a liking towards the Grenade Launchers.

You can also use it a close range without the collateral you get from Explosive. I'd still say Explosive is stronger though.

Ol' Reliable in the Far Harbor dlc actually lies to you in a good way. It has two shot, but it doesn't fire the other bullet. It just puts that double damage for the one bullet it fires.

Really, I will have to double check that. If true then this would make it better than two shots since as ou upgrade a weapon shot shot does not do twice the damage, its actually weapon damage plus base damage. Thanks for sharing.

I believe it's double the base damage so two shot is better in a lot of cases but when you want literally the most damage from one shot (snipers) instigating can be better. Two shot also has decreased accuracy and increased recoil.

@CaptainBrash I personally think instigating is better by far. You get double damage. Yeah, sometimes you run into an enemy with low health, but it happens. You don't have to get two bullets on target because two shot can miss, unless it's ol reliable

@@CaptainBrash two shot is always better because the damage is "doubled' before you hit the target not after, so its better at piercing armor

Just wanted to mention that the Furious legendary effect is NOT only available on melee weapons, it's available on ballistic weapons as well. The best examples, that don't require legendary farming, are the two Handmade Rifles found in Nuka World, The Problem Solver and Splattercannon. Both have the Furious effect.

I farmed explosive mini gun, explosive shotgun, irradiated kneecapper auto rifle, 2 shot 44 revolver & wounding smg. I also have kneecapper mini gun but it’s in a box somewhere

For large crowds of trash I prefer explosive automatic weapons. For large single entities I LOVE wounding combat shotgun. That weapon just melts deathclaws and miralurk queens.

"Irradiated" Lazer Musket worth a mention with 4 crank it can do an additional 200 radiation damage (I not tried 5 or 6 yet).

It certainly something worthwhile mentioning and using too. Its got the potential to take out a number of enemies with just a single shot.

Kneecapper is my favorite legendary effect because nothing is as satisfying as seeing a deathclaw crawling on the ground after you crippled it. Also Mo I hope you and everyone else has a very happy Mother’s Day.

If you do one on armor effects, remember the Troubleshooter's, Assassin's etc are best as a set due to The Dapper Gent letting you have one of each type in an armor slot. As normally only the chest, legs, and arms can have them. It works at all times without needing to stand still, or sprint/block like cavalier's/titan. Lone Wanderer, 30% of damage is ignored. | Pack Alpha, 25% of damage is ignored. | Attack Dog, 10% of damage is ignored. | Troubleshooter's, Mutant Slayer's, Ghoul Slayer's, Hunter's, Exterminator's, Assassin's all reduce damage by 15% vs robots, mutants, ghouls, animals, insects and mirelurks, and humans. 15% damage reduction vs all enemies is the hat with one piece of armor dedicated to each other enemy type. | Astoundingly Awesome Tales #3, 5% more damage from robots ignored. | Wasteland Survival Guide #2, #8, 5% more damage from insects and melee ignored. | Islsnder's Almanac Pincer Dodge, 5% more damage from mirelurk melee attacks ignored.

I haven't farmed enough "set" pieces to test it all, but if the wiki is accurate on reduction stacking it should be around a 70% damage reduction for every enemy in the game. I'd say the explosive damage reduction chest mod would be the best complimentary armor mod available without hurting "Berserker's", because that setup also results in 65 combined resistances of damage and energy using basic raider legendaries and the hat. The wiki states at 81 combined dr/er the bonus damage is 50%, and only 200% at 0 dr/er. So 65 is probably around 100-125% damage.

There is also a BoS initiate hidden perk that reduces damagefrom ghouls, super mutants and synths by 10%. Though not sureif your character gains it by joining.

Anything with wounding is worth it, just get a few hits in and watch the healthbar melt away. Only weapons it kinda sucks with are explosive weapons like rocket launcher and fatman. Minigun + wounding = rain of death

I agree. Even the smallest of damage type effects combined with anything weapon that does automatic type damage is a great combo e.g. Spray and Pray.

Explosive, furious and wounding are best for max difficulty. Two shot and endless are also good.

My favorite is Neverending if you drop your gun and ammo and if enemie pick it up it will double the ammo

That trick actually works across all weapon but that does not take away from the weapon. The fact that you can fire all the ammo the weapon has with no reloading needing is very powerful. Especially with some weapons that only fire one project per reload.

Spray and Pray ( ? ), Deliverer, Overseer's Guardian, Throatslicer and Sergeant Ash ( i think this needs Far Harbor DLC ) are the ones that need to look out after if someone doesnt want to go RNG based hunting for legendaries. I have over 1200 hour in F4 total, but never found like a wounding mini or shotgun.

Throatslicer also gets that +25% damage from the scav magazine, and the serrated hacking blades bonus damage to limbs stacks with mass. journal surgery's 18%.

Thts a shame. It's is a very rare weapon drop yo start with and even more rare is the legendary effect being on the weapon. I have a similar sort of hour and the only way I managed to getnit was working with the legendary Farming method.

First off, I wanna point out that Explosive is actually best for shotguns, because the game has a bug that causes shotguns with the explosive effect to do 800% more damage than normal... and second I wanna point out that you're completely wrong about the Furious legendary effect. It works well with guns, and there's even 2 guaranteed furious legendary guns in Nuka World, The Problem Solver, and the Splattercannon. Furious works really well with automatic weapons because you can stack up the damage boost really fast

@@TrappedInFallout The same explosive shotgun bug used to be present in Fallout 76 when the game first came out. There was loads of reports about players accidentally killing themselves because of the insane damage it would do. They patched that out rather quickly in 76, but obviously they never did in Fallout 4

@@TrappedInFallout what's your favorite playthrough on fo4, or any fo game? As in type of weapon. Do you ever set "rules" for yourself like, explosives only? Or auto only? Handgun only? Rifle only? Melee only? After I completed a game the second playthrough I set rules and choose a specific topic I sucked at or abused and added or subtracted it from the game. My favorite on NV was when I went explo only as soon as I left good springs. It was difficult but rewarding in the end. I also did a playthrough with zero stim packs and had to sleep or eat for health regen.

Hey just a heads up you can reduce basic raider armor with legendaries, the dapper gent, and green shirt and combat boots dr/er from 64 to 44 by using psycho and med-x addictions for -20. So "Berserker's" may be better than instigating or double shot.

I love wounding on a laser weapon, combat shotgun, or an automatic with high fire rate. If you have Nuka World there's Problem Solver and Splattercannon, having the furious effect on an assault rifle is absolutely broken.

Yeah, I really should have shown it off on a ballistic weapon instead. It's just too OP. I guess any of these effects can be OP when used on the right weapon.

The Wounding minigun DOES WORK with the shredder attachment. I don't think it works with regular bashing though.

All decent effects. Let's not forget, legendary effects are great, but having them on the right weapon can be broken. An explosive pipe rifle is good. An explosive shotgun or minigun is game breakingly OP. So much so, I have to do playthroughs with the rule no explosive shotgun\minigun.

It's crazy OP. If you notice in the gameplay footage I don't even aim. I just fire in the general direction. Toke out thr Piwer Armor like it was made of clay or something.

It's one of the few legendary effects that is influenced by multiple perks. It makes the effect truly OP. Even better is the area of effect it has. From you footage in this video you can see that I hardly aim for my target, close enough is good enough.

I know, it's just a very broken effect. You can take down boss level creatures very easily with this. I have something similar with a kneecapper Pipe Pistol.

Fun fact the exploding Gatling Laser is bugged. When you fire it even if you just hit the ground near something it'll still take the full damage from both the explosion and the laser itself.

Without glitches or mods you don't. At higher levels you will eventually come across enemies that will be legendary. Once you defeat one on him you will find either a legendary weapon or armor. And that show you find legendary weapons or armors.
