13:39: the swollen part seen on aroids such as Gonatopus and Zamioculcas is called a 'pulvinus', while the thickened bend immediately below the leaves of plants such as anthuriums and the true Pothos is termed a 'geniculum'.

definitely keep doing these type of tours and educational videos as they are both interesting and very inforemative. It is like being in a class and one picks up tons of information . Great job and thanks to Ms Colletti for her time and knowledge, and a special thanks to Tom Croat for all the aroids he has brought to us over the years

My niece was just at a botanical garden in Ontario, Canada and came across this plant that was almost going to flower. I showed them a pic of how big they can get. They were amazed and then I saw your video, so naturally had to pass it along. Thanks guys for sharing your wealth of information.😊

How amazing to have a plant named after you - I quite like the leaf shape and texture on it! Interesting too on the amorphophallus leaf prop... so when doing the leaf prop are you just doing anywhere on the leaf, or are you aiming to plant it where the bulblet origin point was/would be so that it almost acts like a growth node point when planted or does it do both and thereby have multiple ways of leaf propping? What a neat plant!

I wonder if the Amorphophallus titanum light issue is because of the cycle of the moon. If it's pollinators are most prolific at the dark of the moon, maybe hatched at the full moon. So night light would tell the plant to wait a little, to catch the moon cycle at it's darkest.

hi summer, would it be doable for you to show us how we could do "tissue culture" at home. I haven't been able to find anything in detail, as apparently it's "proprietary", but if there are some that aren't proprietary, you'd know how to find them

Hi Summer-- Can you clear something up for my daughter and I? We are confused about Monstera Deliciiosa. Are there different varieties? We keep reading conflicting things and are wondering if those that have smaller leaves will someday age to grow the huge leaves we love, or is that a different kind of Deliciosa? Thank you!

My alocasia amazonica "Polly" blooms too much. It's actually very annoying because it stops producing leaves and it takes it while to start producing leaves after it is done flowering.

What if you were to cut the flower off as soon as it’s there? Have you tried that yet? Perhaps that will allow it to refocus on vegetative growth?

Great video! Can you illuminate me on the way “aroids” should be pronounced? Maybe it’s a regional thing. I’ve heard you say “A-roids” with a long a or “ERR-roids” in previous videos and in the beginning this one, “uh-ROIDS”. Also curious about “monstera” because I’ve heard “mons-TERR-ah” mostly but also “MONster-ah”.
