Love your videos. I'm a proud dutch shepherd owner. I have an awsome breeder trainer here in the U.S. that I work closely with. If you have the opportunity discuss the life expectancy of these breeds. With the cost of some these dogs having them around as long as possible was a big consideration in the choice I made. Thank you for your videos.

There is a breeder in north Texas who started crossing different working shepherd breeds. His original goal was to improve the health of GSD. What he ended up with is a shepherd type dog with improved hips/elbows and little to no shedding. I've talked with a few people who got dogs from him and they all say the same thing. No shedding and if they do it's very little, great family dogs, and naturally protective. His program is on my short list for when I'm ready for a dog. Have you all had experience with crosses?

Yes we have crossed the Shepherds. We've done Malinois x Dutch Shepherd. And also Malinois x German Shepherd. We've had some really nice dogs from the Malinois x Dutch Shepherds. But they all still shed. Even if the coats are short they still shed.

I always has a deep trancelike stance on the Belgian, even before it was even a trend. I tried my utmost to avoid the breed, because of the the responsibility, compared to other breeds. The circumstances allowed me to receive a Malinois. Absolutely beautiful creature in work and emotional therapy. For the common South African homeowner, any dog that can do a job, and falls into the 50-60cm length, especially for guardianship. Not everyone can afford these breeds. The showline philosophy is not working philosophy. The k.n.p.v lines was not pure bred, they mixed in whatever could build the working power, thus you see massive Malinois, and big built Belgian Shepherds. The Canis panther was created by Gypsy sttatten, scorpio Jones and Mario Lopez. We Should also be innovative for the common man. Any Dog with the personality to work should be assessed and moved. Overbreeding has caused chaos in many breeds. These Rascals are now going for the Malinois in the supply and demand chain.
