I am in recovery for heroin and fentanyl. Today I am 84 days sober. Glory to God. He has been my strength to come out of the darkness and into the light. He will provide for me all the days of my life and he is helping me build my life abundantly. And I will be a living testimony for our father... AMEN

10 years drug addiction, 4 years spent in prisons, today I'm 31 I'm clean it's christmas eve, I live in a sober house (I'm the asst manager here) Ive always loved God just needed to get back on track! Nomore prison drugs probation all GONE. My son is healthy (he's 13) lives with my mother. I'm working hard to get a car and make it back to him (they live a hour n half away) I also workout every other day at golds gym it helps my mental alot. Gotta stay strong. I know I'll be with my son one day soon. 😊

I have built my life on His firm foundations. And even when the storms of this life come, I will be able to raise my hands and praise God through the storm.

I am a mother to 4 beautiful blessings, I work full time as a hospice nurse. On Sunday my life was turned upside down, I went to the ER where I got the scariest report. I am needing God more than ever in this situation. I believe the Lord can heal me. I know that the power of prayer is real. Praying!

I just turned 60 in Aug and the month of December I became severely sick I'm now in the hospital my kidneys have failed I have less than 5% function I start dialysis today they also found a tumor on my lung they did a biopsy on and I'm waiting on the results. I am going for a biopsy on my kidneys today before I start dialysis plz Peay for me. I'm also recovering from addiction to fentnal and heroin and narcotic pain pills that I got addicted to after a head on collision 20 years ago. Plz pray for my recovery of the all above

All my life u struggled w sin alcoholism,drug addiction, mental health,got sober finally only by the grace of God lost my son to an accidental death at 9 months sober I hurt so bad he was on his death bed in a coma I went to the alter and asked God to save me and bring my son back to me he saved me but not my son . From this I stayed sober only because I am building my relationship with the god of my understanding. I am still disappoint that he didn't bring my son back to me,but I m learning everything in god's world happens for a reason. My son's life is carried on through donating life back. This is still a struggle but if I trust God it will work out.

I’m a witness of his love and his greatness! In 2020 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. God was with me through it all from adding my insurance on time, to my strength! I never doubt him that he was with me so much that the chemotherapy didn’t cause any problems or side effects like it normally does. Towards end I would even went cycling and hiking. Trust him and he won’t leave you forsaken!🙏🏻❤️

My wife is 8 months pregnant and as she was driving today, she got involved in a terrible head collision accident. Her car was pushed away 15 metres away while she was inside. I thank God she survived and the baby is okay. God is great.

I have anxiety and in 2020 it got so bad to the point that I was unable to live a normal life, so I was put on medication. This medication was only meant to be taken for six months to a year, but I was on it for over two years. I have successfully weened off of it now, which I am very grateful for. Even though I am in a much better place than before, it has been rough without medication, so I would really appreciate some prayer in that area, and prayer for me to trust God with the future❤️

I watched the movie of this, I can 100% relate to Bart, the relationship with his dad and mine were almost exactly the same. Except I lived with my mother, my dad was abusive verbally and physically to me. He loved me, but his actions didn't reflect what he said. He over time established a relationship with God and things were better. He was a Vietnam veteran and Developed cancer from agent orange. I had to live with him and take care of him and we established a better understanding of one another during that time. He and I had a heart to heart, conversation one night. I apologized to him I told him that I was sorry that I wasn't what he probably imagined that a son would be. He told me he was proud of me and that I grew up to be just fine, out of a little bit of resentment I guess? I asked him why he always made me feel like I wasn't good enough, he told me that growing up he was abused that he never ever wanted to be that way to me, that he wussy he could go back and change it all. That is the moment that we made true peace with each other. I always loved my dad regardless, I looked up to him because he was always so strong and seemed to be able to never fail, but there were the bad times.. It hurt to watch him deteriorate, one thing that bothered me is he was so stubborn, and modest.. he lost strength in his legs.. well I had went to sleep and he wanted to get up without letting me know and he fell in the floor.. that is the moment that I truly broke.. after i checked to make sure he didn't break a hip or something.. I picked him up out of the floor like a small child and laid him back in his bed. He hated that I did that, afterwards I was like pops in gonna go outside and smoke a cigarette. I went outside and broke down, that was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. After that he had any 6 months left.. we talked laughed and cried together, we learned a lot about each other. There is no doubt in my mind off where he is... he told me one night.. he said, it's almost my time buddy, once I'm gone, when it's your time, I'm gonna try to be there to bring me my brother and sister home. I wish I could have had that version of my dad my whole life... he passed away 12/25/2016. Giving all that, I can see where Bart was at when he wrote this. Even though it wasn't me, our stories are so similar, when iwatched the movie, it hit so close to home. I doubt if he will ever see this, but I want to say thank you Bart, this song came out long before that ever happened, but this song makes me think about seeing my dad again, I wish that we had a window to look in to see what they see. I know that Jesus is my savior and God is my true father, but I can't wait for the day I can see my mom and dad again, and my loved ones that I miss so much. I was living a life full of sin, I still do to a degree, but I am in my spiritual journey of making life right.. I have came a long long way, I want Jesus to welcome me, I don't want to be in front of him and him to turn me away and say be gone for I never knew you.

I'm just an ordinary woman, but I have Jesus in my life . Got to know Christ when young and baptised when I was 13... I have suffered with depression since that same age, and when already an adult and a mum, I backslid and it upset not only me but my family too. Although I got my faith back , I struggle with forgiving myself for years now. I know it's a process and I believe God can do all things and He has forgiving me. He has been giving me strength to deal with my daily battles, I know He's with me whatever life brings my way. I needed to go through this process to understand fully what it means to follow Him!!
