not all creatures from the nether are demonic, a lot of them are in fact 'abberations' but atm there's only a few of them in game and it's easier for the devs to give them the demon tag than make yet another tribe type.

I don't think Trump read this right. If you cast another spell, the weapon's attack would be overwritten. I'm not sure where he's getting the "50 damage" from, since it resets back to 0 upon ending the turn.

Merciful Death would make the game feel awful whenever you faced it. Fatigue damage should never have a positive effect tied to it - it's meant to be a penalty and destroying your deck to make use of some broken card is super gimmicky and not at all hard to do.

Suggested Thori'dal improvment. 3 mana 0/3. "Has attack equal to the cost of the first spell you played this turn." maybe still busted with high mana cost spells, but those are not run now to my knowledge, so it might spark a newer, slower, spell hunter.

Or limit it so it only gains the attack from the last spell you played each turn instead of all of it. So you'd have to play big spell hunter if you actually wanted big attacks with it.

So what? Its a 3 mana weapon with 5 durability mate. If it was a standard weapon for 3 mana with 5 durability what attack would you give it? 2 every turn? 3? 3 might be a bit too much no? 3 attack 5 durability for 3 mana is absolutely cheap. Now you might say sure but its not just 3 mana bc you have to play a spell every turn...but guess what, 90% of hunters run the secret pack so you already get 2 mana per turn with ease, but you also have potential to use flanking strike to get 4 attack, or spellstone for 5 attack...its OPAF if you can stack the attack on top. No, it should always just be 1 spell per turn.

@@Zoinkoman135 I mean when you say it like that it just sounds like a wild pyro, only that it works better against one tall target rather than a small wide board. I think the card would be ok to print after also lowering the durability, because I agree that 5 durability for 3 mana with most likely at least 3 attack consistently is too much. At 2-3 durability and can't attack heroes it's fine imo.

Give it 3 Durability instead and make It so it gains power equal to HALF the amount of mana used on spells, you use a 10 cost spell, which was worth the mana then you get 5 damage added on to it and its still 3 damage on average so usually a 3/3 Weapon With the possibilty of being higher and i think 5 times is too many

Daniel Naumann to be fair voidealkers aren’t TECHNICALLY demons. They are more accurately void elementals, but are classified as demons for balance both in wow and in hearthstones.

Sausages: In any meta where beasts are anywhere significantly represented in decks, it can be used like mini hysteria. And even if the opponent aren't running any beast, it's at least a banana. And if nothing else, it can give your poisons beasts rush. I think it's adequate as is. It's far more versatile than you think. On that note, of current tier one decks according to metabomb: deathrattle/secret/spell hunter: lots of beast. Even paladin: two stagdons (from spikeridged steed) Even warlock: two plated Beatles Odd rogue: two blink fox, two flappy bird, two dire mole, 1 ironbeak owl, 1 baku, almost as good a target as hunter Odd warrior: 1 baku. And if we were to consider further, almost all druid/hunter will have beasts. every paladin except odd will have spikeridged steed, all control that's not odd will likely have plated beatle whereas odd always have baku. Most aggro will have flappy bird. There just aren't many decks that are beast free. So the mini-hysteria is almost always possible So sausages is an adequate removal as is by have your opponents minion fight each other is a fairly likely scenario.

9.57 Doesn't say it's only your minions attacking theirs or vice versa. You can Overkill your own unleash the hounds, you can make an enemy emerald spellstone's wolves attack each other, you can give your minions windfury if they already attacked, it's really cool and versatile IMO.

I also thought of something like that, it would be so cool, but it would take a lot of preparation, so it wouldn't even ruin the game. Here is mine: Gahr'Zilla(7) + Unleash the Hounds(3) + Sausages on Gahr'Zilla(1) + Tundra Rhino(5) - This is 16 mana, so 2 Helpless Hatchlings + 1 Thaurissan turn when you have the full combo in your hand would help it :D What combo did you think of?

Merciful Death is game-breaking. It prevents fatigue from ever killing you (because lifesteal can heal you even when you take lethal damage - see pre-nerf kingsbane), but the big problem is in a druid deck you could probably draw 7 cards in one turn from a big mana combo, fatiguing you for 28 damage (offset by the healing) and dealing 28 damage to all enemies. E.g. Play this minion, play wrath, break twig of the world tree, play UI and the 0-mana wild growth card draw. It's just as awful as pre-Aviana-patch druid.

imo its still too slow,remember that you take fatigue at the start of your turn,so the enemy have a chance to remove it before its starts going crazy

I think the flavor text didn't imply being immune to fatigue damage at all, but instead taking the damage and then dealing to all enemy characters matching the damage your hero already took. So not reflecting the fatigue damage but matching it to the opponents characters. (your hero would still die to fatigue damage too)

@@danang5 wait until you've fatigued twice. Merciful Death + Arcane Intellect deals 7 damage to all enemies and heals you for all damage dealt. That's most likely a board clear that restores you to full health. If your opponent doesn't have hard removal in hand, then there's another 5 damage to their board and face.

would you be interested in reviewing “OP Official Cards” on these same metrics? obviously, Ultimate Infestation is a 5-star auto include. but is it a 5 on design? and do you think it’s so OP that it’s not a 4 or 5 on balance?

I think Merciful Death could be made balanced by being a 7 mana 4/4 and it's ability deals damage to all characters instead of just enemy characters. this potentially allows you to skip two (maybe even three) of the early fatigue draws while clearing the board and healing. That is still quite a powerful effect but not nearly so oppressive unless you get real greedy with it, waiting for fatigue 7 or even 8. Until you reach fatigue then, you're hanging onto a 7 mana 4/4 lifesteal with no ability, which hurts a lot to play as opposed to the 7 mana 7/7 lifesteal which would be okay to play on curve if you think the game won't reach fatigue.

I think you misread Zul'jin's hero power (or the creator mis-worded it). It says "Deal 2 damage. If a target minion survives, refresh this." So I am pretty sure it can still go face

@@jpoirier8967 Boomzooka is a bad card and you can't play it in spell Hunter (the deck this weapon would go in). Call of the Wild is also a bad card, but less bad. If you're running a bad card to make another card better, I think that's kind of okay. 9 Mana deal 14 damage is pretty big but it required two specific cards, one of which you have had in play for a turn and can be interacted with. At worst it'll be old druid Roar+Force but it's less flexible and can be interacted with through oozes.

I think the card might resolve first before the deathrattles trigger? I'm not very familiar with hearthstone rules bur I'm pretty sure that deathrattles resolve after all other effects.

Mercifulldeath would do it at the start of your turn not the end. You would have to combo it witha card that draws which would make it similar to malygos arcane explosion with lifesteal

Thori'dal, I think, was intended to be written as: "This weapon's attack is equal to the last spell you cast this turn." That seems balanced enough to me.

Small note on Last stand: it's slightly worse than you originally thought, as you still have to heal on the negative off. In your scenario of a 10 attack vs your 4 health, healing 18 with triple would only put you to 12 (-6+18). Might be the first case of Quadruple on a hearthstone card ever.

its enabler tho, 2 health isnt as valueable as 1 dmg bcs eggs etc exist. You dont want deathrattle hunter to have another egg enabler that works like that ;p

if you heal twice excess you have to cover the negative values before the positive ones, so a triple restore on a -6 would only bring you back to 12

Thori'dal would be actually good for shaman, and new spell archetype, spell shaman (overload, elementals, hagatha, big spells, totems, kragua(?)) but maybe a little more expensive, to balance it

My problem with Netherwalker is that it directly interacts with another unique card. As far as I'm aware, the only other card I can think of that does this is Stalagg/Feugen and you received both of those for completing a campaign. You'd feel really shitty as a new player if you opened Netherwalker and didn't have any Twisting Nethers.

I like Eye for an Eye but it is super weak. Maybe something like ‘Judgemental Gaze’, ‘Scornful Gaze’, ‘Righteous Gaze’ or ‘the whole world blind’ (to play on the whole eye for an eye thing) where ‘when a creature deals damage to your hero, deal that much damage to all enemy creatures’ (maybe all enemy creatures AND heroes and/or ‘whenever your hero takes damage’ to make it more playable). It’s very easy to play around but big and fun if it works. Anyone think this would be any good? How hard is it to make your own card mock ups to submit?

Last Stand: If it restores health equal to 3 times the negative dmg, wouldnt 6 dmg in overkill set the player to 12 instead of 18 ? Since I would have -6 and then it restores 18 health. 18-6 = 12 health ?

The first card in the best scenario is actually deal 3 damage to all enemy minions, except the right-most minion, which gets 4 damage

Maybe balance that zul’jin by having his hero power deal damage to himself as well? So if you’re trying to remove a big minion it would cost you a lot of health to do so

Trump is way undervaluing sausage. You could go all face, THEN kill a high priority target. You could make a bunch of small dudes and feed a Hyena or that one Hunter legendary that gets double attack. I also don't think giving it draw a card is too much more powerful, as that point it's kinda like side grade/ power creep power word shield.

I think warlock need a soul shard card ... for example: Soul shard. cost 1. your next deal damage to your face card damages the enemy instead. or soul shard. cost 2. your next discard X card discards 1 card from the enemy's hand.

I agree Last Stand is weak and should be buffed to maybe x3 but I also see it as a powerful tech card. This would be a great counter against certain otk decks that deal ridiculous damage in one shot where exact damage is more difficult. Not many otk decks deal exactly 30, not that your health would probably be at 30 by the time they get their combo. It'll either be higher or lower. Good otk decks need to be able to do so much damage that armor or additional life won't save you or an automatic win effect like uther the ebon blade or mecha'thun. If the former is prevalent in the meta than this card would be great.

0:58 I like the idea of the card but imagine packing it while not having twisting nether. Its so incredibly underwhelming. Sure there are probaly worse epics to get in that set but still knowing you need another 400 dust card just to make this playable might feel really bad to pack.

@Trump the " Sausage " card can be super fun if it will FORCE all beasts to attack the buffed minion. Immagine you do dmg with your bests on their turn, toss the sausage and will force them to attack again. That will be a play ;)

Lady Death maybe only hitting minions and without the lifesteal? Potentially a board clear every turn, at the cost of being in fatigue

You rarely hit more than 2 fatigue before you die in a constructed game. If it started to do enough damage to be a reliable board clear than your going to die regardless. It would lose horribly to any combo or aggro deck since neither would give you a chance to fatigue, and if you make a deck that fatigues on purpose than you should play mechathun or Togg/Hakkar and just win the game instead.

It's sad that Trump missed the whole potential behind the Sausages card its essentially Mass Hysteria for hunters its a card that just like Mass Hysteria needs some thoughts of when to play it and it pays off in the end. Giving it draw a card would just make it stronger than it has to be.

I think Trump is wrong on last stand in his comment on if it was overkill heal up to 30. It isn't that easy for decks to do exact damage. There is a big difference between healing 2-6 damage and healing 30. I agree that it should be something along the lines of 2x or 3x. I would also say that this card doesn't have to be good to see play because Hydrologist can discover it if you need it. Like for example Eye for an Eye is terrible, but people picked in when playing hydrologist against OTK mage. I can definitely see someone take it if they are being smacked by a mountain giant especially if it heals over 10 on average.

12:20 if the card set you at 30, it might be played in decks that can cheat it out. While most decks are certainly capable of dealing exact damage, they might be forced to wait a turn or two to set up. ice block buys a turn for 3 mana and was hall of famed. Giving situational ice block for 1 mana would easily be quite strong. Combo decks would love this card. And what about decks that aren't capable of dealing exact damage? Should they just be locked out from winning because you played a 1 mana secret? And what about new players who don't know about this secret? They deal non-exact damage lethal to you and suddenly you're at full health again. That would be terrible.
