This is a debate that should be had. If it was just a fluke, then it should be demonstrated as such. I think it probably was not. If so, more and more people will start looking around and demanding a better candidate. I personally don't think any of them could win either if I'm being totally honest, but they might not take down as many down race seats. This is a question of how badly does the party want to lose? Biden stays in, they lose big everywhere. Someone else steps in like Harris, and she loses, but some down ballot races are unaffected. I see no universe where the democrats retain the White House. It. Ain't. Happening. I do not think Biden would even get 100 electoral college votes this time. He might win in 3 or 4 states. It's brutal, but that is what my gut is telling me. Harris would still lose, but by less.

Maybe the kindest thing to do would be to rent a space, decorate it like the oval office and let Biden pretend to be president. He wouldn't know where he is at, just like now. Maybe we would also be able to find out who has actually been controlling our country for the last 3.5 years. Whom/whatever it is, we didn't vote for him/her/it.

One of the advantages of parliamentary systems is that there's less riding on one individual, and there's a strong norm for a party leader leader to step aside if they have become a drag on the party for whatever reason, fair or not.

I hope Trump does not get in. But I dont see Biden winning this, and definitly not Harris.. Dems should have had stronger candidates, but they have people that dont appeal to the american people, who are just there by default. Trump appeals to people. Big difference. Trump does not appeal to me, but that doesnt change things. I think with this, Trump is very likely going to win. The middle voters that dont know, wont be swayed by Biden being Strong to vote for him, that is the problem.
