I’m so glad I found your channel! We are planning to move to Romania from UK. I was born and raised in Transylvania and would love to give at least a similar upbringing/surrounding for our children as I had as a child. My husband who doesn’t speak Romanian or Hungarian still have lots of doubts but I’m praying God will bless our plans. I’ll try and convince my husband to watch some of your videos as encouragement 😁 Stay blessed

Hi! I'm a Romanian living in the state of Rhode Island. The roads are very bad here too. There are a lot of what they call 'pot holes' in the roads. When I first arrived here I actually told my husband the roads in Rhode Island make me feel like home in Romania. I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing them with us. May the Lord bless you and keep you! ❤️

In Romanian there are two types of bad roads the ones with pot-holes and the ones with badly places sings, no road-signs at all and/or no street lines. Badly drawn or not drawn at all street lines, a thing that a driver can still encounter in the 21'st century in Bucharest, the CAPITAL city of Romania. It is a rant I've been having since 2006.

Pablo, you are truly right about our government, if I could smash their heads to maybe someday they will care about this country.Romania has a lot of resources and we do a lot of imports also lack of infrastructure, lack of regional hospitals, more traditional products on the markets from peasants not from foreign countries but slowly ,very slowly with baby steps we will evolve(most of the time pushed by the EU rules).

I would like to clarify one thing. Taxi services are public transportation services, in the strict sense of the law, because they are open to public and subject to close regulations. It has nothing to do with the fact that the service itself is operated by private companies. Same as some bus routes are given under a concession contract to a private company or the waste collection services are carried out by private companies, it does not change their nature, which is one of a public service. Taxis here can use the lane for buses and all the streets that are open to public transportation only.

Hi guys, you all are lovely. Indeed it's safe, also in school or highschool is safe, no guns and so on. Regarding the medical care, you can try some basic membership/subscription at a private clinic like Regina Maria for example, or Sanador, I'm sure you have heard of it, it's not very expensive (like 15-20 dollars per month) and "basic" type covers a lot of medical controls. I have a subscription from my job, but I believe is medium (company paying and the kids or wife/husband are included too). Also medical insurance is a good idea, it's like 40-50 dollars per month, just in case for something more complicated. So, for private whether you like, the combo priv medical care + insurance is the best & can cost 65 dollars per month I believe, as far as I know. Make a research.

Because my personal experience with the medical system in Romania, as Romanian citizen, is way different! Safety in Romania is something I also appreciate. An important role is probably the very small number of weapons that Romanians have and the law on weapons and ammunition compared to the USA. Too many children die in the US in armed attacks in schools. These things are unimaginable in Romania

And compared to us prices on guns in romania is kind a lot of money to buy a gun , ex at a shooting range 1 mag of ak and 2 mags of pistol just to shoot it was 1000 lei per person that is like 200$ and the minimum wage is around 2000 lei so yeah
@steamstories1279
@steamstories1279 2 жыл бұрын
@@crisslex1342 You can't buy a gun with real bullets in Romania, only rubber bullets which can hurt but are not deadly. And even if you want such gun, you are required to put it in a cabinet in your house and keep the cabinet always closed, so you can't actually use it to defend yourself. Well in Romania, you don't defend yourself by shooting the enemy. You use other stuff to defend... but nobody will attack you.. so I dont know why you need a gun in the first place. Guns are just not a thing here. Some people use fraudulent guns, but they use them against people like them, not on random people on the street. Even then, such cases are very very rare, like 1 case every 10 years.

From an objective point of view, I think every Romanian should agree that a city like Brașov is the most suitable to be the capital of Romania. I mean, it is in the mountains, it is in the centre of the country, it's very good from a strategical point of view. Bucharest, Cluj, Timișoara, Iași are cities in open field and would be very easy to invade. Bucharest has proven so many times in history how easy it is to reach by the enemies. So yeah, I am down for moving the capital in Brașov . P.S. I'm not even biased, since I'm from Moldova(not the republic, the region).

Poor guy. It was too much Romanian bureaucracy for him in all these years..:D I live in Germany and here it can also get very complicated as an expat, but Romania is indeed next level. :) Until 5 or 10 years you could often still pay some little "fees" to skip lines or get a quicker answer for your problem, but I understood that now it became increasinlgy less common due to wage raises and also stricter controls. But bureaucracy remains pretty much the same.

I don't know why Brasov gets so few highways while being located right in the middle of the country. It should have at least as many as Bucharest, in all directions. I'm sure will eventually get those but it is soooo painfully slooooow. :) There is a German mayor at Timisoara, I can't wait for a Puertorriqueño mayor at Brasov. It'd would be really cool. ;)

Since you decided to turn-off comments on your video regarding "10 things in Romania which would shock Americans", I decided to respond to that one here where you allow comments... Your content in that video triggered me to the point I had to respond. As an American living in Brasov, I was shocked about your assessment of the building quality, being worse than in the US, when, in fact it's the other way around. You mention black mold around the windows and in the bathrooms... Well; this happens because of two reasons; homes are to well insulated and second, those places most likely have the heat turned down. Also not venting is a strong reason for that. Building codes in Romania are extremely strict in regards to resistance to earthquakes, since 1980, after the 7.1 (Richter), back in 1977. The requirements are to build for 9(Richter). You won't find a lot of buildings from the communist era holding-up to that standard simply because they were built before 1980. Everything after 1980 is truly strong. Insulation and insulated windows. All new (2000 and ahead) buildings are extremely well insulated and you pay your home-owner taxes for the property based on the degree of insulation. Since about ten years ago triple-pain windows are available and most builders will use those. It must be that you rented in some communist building, or some poorly built homes from the same period, or you save on heat. Yes, you pay in advance for medical procedures because there is no background check and they don't even know who you are and on top of that, if you can't be hold responsible for not showing-up at the procedure, the loss of facility reservation and medical fee will never be recovered. On the other hand in the state system you are not asked to pay at all. Taking shoes off is a habit from communist times when streets were extremely dirty. Also, people hate having shoes all over their ultra clean floors (you will never see such clean floors anywhere else because Romanians are clean-freaks), most likely shoes who walked on streets over dog piss... Finally, having to pay fro traveling outside any city... Well... For years there was a debate which ended in the will of the people (a law) regarding the way vehicles get to be taxed. People who don't travel outside any city were reluctant to pay for street-use/repairs of roads between cities. The law reduces the tax, but if you do have to travel outside a city, you have more options, pay by day, week, month or year. The yearly fee is ridiculously low, at only $30/year. In regards to everything I wrote here, I would be more than happy to educate you in person, if you're still in the region. Cheers!

Thanks for your comment! Well, the first place we lived in Brasov was actually a new apartment complex. But the windows were cheap quality, which resulted in the mold.

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
