Of all 3, I prefer the Barchetta and...I fit in it cuz I cannot fit in the other 2

the mr2 has got a boot. It can easily hold a lunch for 5 .Just the food ,not the tableware.

The barchetta was nice, but the quality was very poor.

@@TheOnlyVistosi The quality very poor ? Please what you talking about in particular ? For my part I think the hand assembling and the very strong and performing engine make the barchetta still reliable today :)

@@julienmcn1793yeah but from my own experience the little electrics it has are catastrophic. And im not even getting started on the VVT, replacement parts are unoptanium and the procedure is cancerous without the special tools which have all disappeared by 2015. I have just welded it into the lower position by now

The MR-S is shorter than the miata, but wider, and it's 15% lighter. Also, the engine is in the right place. And if you've ever been in a miata, you'll realize how much an extra 4 inches would make in your drivers seat... Also, if you're going for an impractical car, why not go as impractical as it gets? Who needs a trunk when you have that much fun? As someone who has owned both a miata and an MR-S, I have to say that the MR-S is what I want... as long as I have two cars. If I only had one? I'd get a miata, but I have a winter beater for Quebec's harsh winters, and I'll keep the MR-S for summers.

how tall are you if you don't mind me asking..? I am 6.2. I use to have a mx5 nb and I was fitting just. I am considering a mr2 as second car these days.. Is it gonna be better or worse ? thank you :)

The MR-S is a bit more focused and sharp out of the dealer, with it's rear-mid engine and all. Great car, and I'd totally see why you'd prefer it especially when you have a second car. Personally I prefer the MX-5 because you can do long roadtrips with them and carry some luggage, and it has more tuning potential (much more after-market support) especially since the basics like the suspension are so well in order that a set of good coil-overs and a good alignment will put them ahead of the MR-S in the handling department imho. Although the MR-S is a really interesting concept and a great car in its own right, I kind of wished Toyota would have continued following the route of their MR-2 Mk 2 (the "poor-man's Ferrari" model) and perfect that. The MR-S ended up as being the "poor-man's Lotus" model, but personally I'd save a bit more for a 2nd hand Elise as the MR-S can never quite get close to that.

mr2 and mx5 can go to hell, compared to the barchetta, they can only talk in performance but no style compared to us, it's a shame they didn't took for stage the firts version of the barchetta, before facelift and that boot facelift, the firt generation, 1994-2001/early 2002 that was a uunito of it's one in terms of style, mechanically it only received a small update called "Step 2" whic wasn't even publicized to public...
