Big Stig is actually the Stigs Aisyralian cousin, due to the massive bulge he was sporting when he first was introduced. I prefer Fat Stig as the name for the Stig's American cousin.

It's a bit of a misconception that the UK is cold, speaking of England where he lives the coldest it ever really gets to is -5/-10°C in winter, and the summer months average around 25°C, last year we had a few days hitting 34/35°C, and it actually feels hotter than it is due to England being quite humid. I know a Greek family who were actually surprised by just how hot it was. What we do have however, is an abundance of overcast days where it's just grey, slightly cold and slightly windy. Bill Bailey described it as weather which fills the British people with a sense of wistful melancholy.

@@ondrejvolecek7215 Yeah, and while its also very good, for some reason its not as memorable as Top Gear. I watched many Top Gear episodes like 10/15 times but with Grand Tour, I have not rewatched many episodes. The first 2 seasons felt a very scripted anyway, whereas with Top Gear even though it was scripted, you didn't notice it as much.

Quite possibly THE best season. Road works, building limos, the southern US special, the Reliant Robin space shuttle, tractors and James driving the Veyron at top speed. Not to mention a great line of guests including Jemery's crush Kristin Scott Thomas. Absolute peak television.

*aggregate plant, the challenge was to resurface a road in 24hrs, and they sent hammond to the aggregate plant where they mix the stone and bitumin to make the asphalt to lay on the road but hammond’s cameraman lent on the emergency stop and thus delayed the whole job
