@@davidhaney1394Don't let an NCO hear you call him an Officer!!! 😝 The ironic part it that, as good as Sgt Les Paul (I don't know his actual name) was, Cpl Stratocaster would possibly have been better suited to playing this one, since the original makes heavy use of a floating bridge, which the Les Paul doesn't have....

The guy next to the guitarist is Lance Corporal Matt Gregory, who performs a blistering solo on the Royal Marines' cover of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. With vocals by Corporal Samantha McIndoe, I recommend checking it out.

Chills. They nailed this. Just read an article that the U.S. military has top level talent in its bands and orchestras, because it’s hard for even elite players to get gigs in the shrinking private arena. Wondering if it’s the same in the UK, because this was top notch musicianship, execution, feel, etc.

That opening theme has always and will always send a shiver ( in a good way ) down my spine. I love Top Gun and will watch it any chance I get. Definitely one of my toe favorite movies with Tom Cruse. The other is Days of Thunder.
