After months of anticipation and intrigue, the Fabulous Four have been chosen for the inaugural ESPN Band of The Year to award the top HBCU marching bands in Division I and Division II/NAIA. The two finalists at the Division I level are the North Carolina A&T “Blue and Gold Marching Machine” and the Jackson State University “Sonic Boom of the South.” The two finalists at the Division II level are Florida Memorial’s “The Roar” Marching Band and Virginia State University’s “Trojan Explosion.” The ESPN Band of The Year title will be determined Dec. 15 in the Mercedes-Benz Dome in Atlanta, GA with the show starting at 6 PM EST. It will be simulcast on ESPN3 and ESPN Plus.

As much as I love Motion! This year just wasn’t it. I agree with Morgan. jsettes took this season and Motion took last season. Dani I need to see BR as Captain and Broadway as Co to bring this back full circle next season! Great job to all of the ladies of this season! Glad no one was hurt and everyone appeared to be having fun. Congrats to all of the graduating Ladies!!!!!

My Top 5 field shows for Weeks 12 &13 are based on the elements of dance, stage presence and entertainment value. (1) Fabulous Dancing Dolls (Bayou Classic) - Flawless routine! Precision, choreography and creativity. This was a synchronized dance routine. Stage presence and uniforms get 10s across the board. The Fabolous Dancing Dolls is perfection. (2) Motion (UAPB) - Smooth, great formulations and they executed the routine with perfection. (3) 14K (Florida Classic) - 14K gave us the Bang, Bang in 42 seconds. I felt the routine was too short, but the Mission was Accomplished, they entertained in the time allotted. (4) Prancing J-Settes - (Capital City Classic) - The routine was continuous. The routine ending wasn't impressive. (5) Alcorn Golden Girls - (Capital City Classic) - Spent too much time just standing striking a pose more than once. Too many pauses in routine. *Honorable Mention - Stingettes/Honeybeez - (Turkey Day Classic)

14K is not a “small” team they have a 50+ year long legacy, they just fresh in the SWAC back when they was in the MEAC they was presha 🔥 they just never had really good competition the only competition they had was golden delight and if they did a meac/ swac battle which they tour the Stingettes up back in 2012 and they was about to eat ASU golden girls up back in 2016 but do to the bad weather unfortunately ending the game very quickly in the first quarter we couldn’t even witness that slay, now that 14K in the SWAC competing up against other strong teams weekly, Y’all infamous “big 3” is about to get rearranged real soon mark words they will eat you up in 40-50 secs on the field and jam you down in the stands like they did the Dolls this season 🤷🏽‍♂️

Orchesis always lose me 😂 too. To be a dance company they never nail it. What's up with the GGs 1ST field formation? Why have all those girls on the 50 and a whole side of the formation incomplete?

They made a “J” formation for Jakayla “Jak”. Kinda like a GG tradition now for each captain. In ‘18 they made a Z for Zaliah and in ‘21 they made a K for Kevia

Golden Delight..... to many girls on this team. The visual effect is confusing. If they cut to ten girls they would be in the top. CUT this army of girls next season.
