My own list from SMKW under $20 are lesser known models................From R.R. any of the Wasp series because of the VG-10 steel, any R.R. fixed blade with G-10, Timberlands Hunter, and any of the R.R. single blade bow trappers. Komoran G-10 folder and Komoran linen micarta lockback (Or Marbles version). Bear & Son Edge Money Clip just for how thin and lightweight it is. Silver Falcon Lockback and 2 blade pen knife (VG-10 steel).

Some cool alternatives in that price range... The Cold Steel Spike blades are great neck or boot knives at that price, their Micro Recons are nice as 5th pocket knives, the Mini Tacs are fun little utility knives like the CRKT Minimalist versions in the same price range - very collectible 😉 CRKT also has the budget Squid "holey" version, but the steel isn't special (8Cr).

Great selection, and agreed that you can't talk sub-$20 without Opinel or Mora. Other suggestions from my own collection would also be Rough Ryders. I have a couple of mini trappers, one in VG10 and one in T10. Both are excellent pocket droppers. And on the larger side, the Classic Carbon II Scout. I'm sure there are plenty more.

I have one of the old school Kershaw Shuffles with the 'K' pattern scales (which I got free w/purchase at one of their warehouse sales they used to do around Christmas time pre--covid!) and I love the versatility of it just like that Antic! Bottle opener, flathead driver, and an itty bitty blade that can handle a lot! Great list full of awesome brands, TC! 👍

try using a clean oil to lift the grime out of your skin, any oil will work. Then use dawn to wash the oil off... my fav was the leatherneck, I just ordered the double edge. The stockman would be my 2nd choice followed by an opinel in traditional wood

Great selection. The only knife I'd add is the Schrade Tenacity. Modern Aus10 flipper for $19.95. Can't touch that anywhere else.

Rough Ryder in T10 and VG10 blades are not just great blades. They are truly works of art. The Classic Carbon, Classic Carbon II, and Wasp series are all absolute must-owns as well as the denim series in the higher end steels. I have ones I carry, and ones I keep in the box for future family heirlooms. Love ya, smkw!

I’m definitely going to have to stop in and get one of those Cold Steel’s this week! I’ve been thinking about getting a custom fixed blade about that size made for me but I’m not sure if I’d enjoy carrying such things. This would be a great way to test the waters first!

My favorite sub $20 knife is the S&W HRT D/E Boot Knife. It was the first knife that I bought for myself as a teen, bought 2 with my first paycheck. (I was 15, gotta have one for each hand!)

the camp plus knife kicks butt I love it I have the other one it is a wonderful knife. I thought it would be a piece of crap but it is a good knife.

The Mora Robust in Carbon is one of my all time-favoites, especially with a custom kydex sheath. A great "companion knife" for my ESSE Junglass to do finer tasks. I want to cry that Ontario is going out of business. So sad...

Now we’re talking great budget knives that are truly budget! Can’t beat the Electrician Knife! Grab the Ontarios while they’re still here! I would also recommend Opinel and Mora for consideration but they really don’t do anything for me. You could’ve included so many more because of Rough Ryder and Marbles. Sounds like you could use some of Skip’s medicine. That was a nasty sneeze!

While not a timeless deal but moreso just a deal for today the CRK Piet for $15.99 is a good deal. It has oddly become an EDC for me even at its cheap price.
