TOP Metal Detecting UK! Another Excellent Day!!

Ok, so they weren't all full hammered coins but still a MONSTER day Metal Detecting UK with FOUR halves and quarters... in fact one was 3/4s! And for the video where I found the TWO gold staters:
• ... but TWO ⭐️GOLD⭐️ I...
It doesn't get much better than this! And It was good to get out and about participating in one of the great outdoor hobbies, metal detecting for lost treasure! Sadly I had to leave Tasciovanus (my trusty Jack Russell Terrier) behind but he makes an appearance back at Headquarters!
I haven’t given too many XP Deus tips or tips for metal detecting for beginners in this video but please feel free to leave a comment if you need to pick my brain over anything, especially if you are learning to use the XP Deus Lite.

Buttons!!! They are part and parcel of half decent ground to detect on... But I find them in the scores and every single time I get excited 😅 they are usually blank and rubbish... Thanks for your work!

@@HolzHammerSagas Hey it's a pleasure Alex - and you know, I always said I thought you were a fantastic and natural presenter - perfect for this sort of content. 🙏 It's really tough trying to make a living as a content creator - particularly if you're in a 'niche genre' like detecting (possibly) is. I take my hat off to you tho', for consistently getting out (at least) 1 video per week - that's a big achievement, especially with the ambitious production values which you've maintained... If I can dare to make 1 suggestion? (and which might be *completely* wrong?... 😂): Why don't you take some time out now it's the New Year - and put together a 'showreel' type video, (10 mins or so of your best bits), and submit it to some TV production companies, (particularly ones who have made detecting/archaeology shows). If you worked/worded it right - one of them might pick you up as an onscreen contributor... If that happened - then of course your own detecting channels would 'max out' in terms of subscribers/viewers etc., and you'd then be up 'n running!... Anyways, just a thought... Take care then my friend, have a great 2023 and look fwd to seeing where you take it next... Bobby 🌻🎸

Pretty awesome to be able to detect those tiny quartered hammered coins! Random thought: Of all the things you find, those thimbles could still be used for generations as a treasured heirloom vs a collectible. Maybe make a seamstress happy?? Cheers from New Orleans

Ive got a 1930-40s bureau that has very similar drawer pulls to your copper one! Its just the mental gymanastics needed for it to appear in the middle of field that I cant get my head around! Look forward to your next year's discoveries Alex, have a happy new year.

Hi Rob, in years gone bye many farmers and workers used to burn their old/unwanted furniture in the fields, hence the many numbers of hinges, handles etc found. Cheers.

Nice hammered coins you need to get some lines of strings set up in that field and give it a good search got to be more hammered coins and maybe a gold noble waiting for you.😁👍

I currently live in Southeast Asia - and Cambodia, where I am at the moment, is not a place to use a metal detector if one wants to remain intact.

By contrast, I absolutely love finding silver thimbles - in my 15 years of serious detecting, I have only found three. Looking up the hallmarks is such a pleasure. That said, I do not have the opportunity to find hammered and older coins, so that might be the difference. I did find an 1873 seated dime with arrows yesterday and that was such a thrill. hi Alex....you seem apprehensive about your video production...well i can assure you your editing and presenting skill's are great...you have no need to worry ...keep them coming just as they are...(not that i can tell you how to do it...) if youv'e seen any of my video's...Basic is the word...lol, very well done with finding those cut quarters and i will have to give the video a look where you find the Stators, i have noticed that the daeus is a great machine for finding the really small items & as you say if your'e finding those you will miss nothing...ok i wish you all the very best for 2023...GL&HH Gordon.

Well found Alex. 😀. My record is 7 hammered in a day but they were from a small purse loss of Cnut pennies which we had to hand in and we were robbed with the payout from the tvc treasure valuation committee who imo haven't a clue about coins. 😥. The less said about that incident the better. 🙁. On a good note I have done 6 hammered two times down the years. 🙂. This year I would gladly give up all that just to catch a glimpse of gold in a hole it has been way to long if 3 years is a long time in metal detecting terms. LOL. 😆. P.s. I couldn't be without my finds tin to put the better bits in I find on the day. 🙂. You could ask santa next Christmas to buy you a finds box. 😁. HH from up north, which at the minute is quite warm for the time of year. 🙂.

Have you thought about chasing up your lost couple of items. 🤔. Hope you and yours have a good New Year and lets hope the detecting Gods shine down on us all. 🤩.

Thanks Craig, I did get it and it was much appreciated - i cant get to grips with shorts i have tried... and i get a bit bored of everyone else's suddenly coming up on my feed!!!! i think they might work for teenage girls dancing but they dont for metal detecting finds as they area ll exactly the same!!!!! a really good find coming out of a hole in 30 seconds - not for me i'm afraid! Hope all well - I will email you properly very soon! x
