The problem with tight grooves is that little pebbles or debris from the outdoor courts gets stuck

exactly. reason i avoid tight grooves you can be sweeping your shoe anytime but cant pick the pebbles out during game.

As of the time of this video, nike has a 20% off sale and eastbay has a 35% off sale. I really liked the GT Jumps and I only used them indoor, great for plantar and support, sadly one of the inner units popped after two months and it was passed Dick's return policy (no longer question their choice of name) and had to go the nike route to return them for credit but lost $50 from shipping them back and having to pay taxes twice. But would still buy them again and recommend them again even though I went to the Jordan 36s instead with the credit.

I love the harden texture and build but the main problem with that shoe is the outsole rubber is too thin and can easily tear when you played it on concrete.

I own a harden vol 6 and for those who are asking for durability on an outdoor court, the outsole is okay for me since am a 180 pound 5'11 but i have to watch out for toe drags bc the upper rips off very easy on concrete. Overall the shoe is pretty much great for light people who play outdoor and will probably last for a hella long time if played indoor and same with upper

@@vintage4000 Idk about hot, they are just not breathable and it will get a bit sweaty and smelly depending on how your feet are.

I play in an outdoor summer league and got the GT jumps, the durability is great and the protection has saved my game. Typically after a game my feet up to my lower back are on fire but these shoes let me get back out there with no pain!

Once they break in they are amazing. These KZfaqrs reviewed them a week in. But the JUMP need time to break in and it’s a great shoe.

I mean if you dont mind spending almost 200 on a shoe that will last a few months of outdoors use (no Nike model lasts any longer, hell no model period lasts over one outdoor season if you play daily) they do seem like a great option. Especially on asphalt floor and if you like to jump alot. For me I have just adjusted to keep my jumping to minimum outside and play close to the floor and Harden 6 do it for me, they kind of last way longer than any Nike model as well.

Nike Air Max Impact 3 has been good for me outdoors, though have only tested for a few hours so far. I'm a bigger guy, too. Cushion and impact protection not quite like Bron Lows or GT Jump (both of which I use, also) but they're obviously in a different category. I've found Zion 2's to be middle-ground between Brons/GT Jump and the Impact 3 in terms of performance and cost, and that'll be what I test outside next time. I think it could end up my go-to outdoor shoe based on the few tests I've done in the driveway.

bro i got air max impact 3 and at first cushion is nice but after a month or two of usage i dont feel any impact protection on hard jumps

I have daily 4hr runs at my local park & the only ones that don’t have my knees hurting are the GT JUMPS! I’ve tried all the rest (except for the Chinese shoes) & nothing comes close! That’s why they’re more 💰but it’s my health that’s worth it!

The best outdoor shoes I have are the CP3.8s I’ve had them for like 8 years and the only thing worn down on them are the heel of the soles

Un addition to durability and cushion, I think the outside of the shoe should also fit the foot well. Otherwise, the foot slips in the shoe and the sole of the foot and fingers hurts a lot.

I can confidently say the majority of hoopers play outdoors yet most shoes are made for indoors only.

Exactly. I play inside & out. But the only reason I play inside is because I play in a men's league on Sundays. Other than that. I play mostly outside .

nike knows this and also understand most shoe buyers arent aware nor do they take durability into account especially parents and young buyers so many times i see people wearing air jordans outdoors. i be honest i also only started noticing durability after few pairs but shoes back then were more durable.

Actually in Asian markets there are these PF versions that have XDR (eXtra Durable Rubber) outsoles that are made for outdoor courts.

it depends on the groove design, they maybe more durable than the non xdr but still not durable outdoors. for adidas they call it adiwear.

Certain colors of the Zoom Freak 3, Kyrie Infinity, Lebron 19, and 19 low are all under 100.00 on Nike's online store right now. At that price, I wouldn't feel bad using any of them outside. The black/red Kyrie Infinity is under 60 bucks right now.

I bought the Nike Fly by mid 3 2 weeks ago I playing everyday on outdoor courts and I can say it is a very good shoes for outdoor. 95$ CAD so 65US$ I recommend this shoe

Hey there. Love your videos. I’m 55 years old and still think I can play. So my biggest concern with outdoors isn’t durability but with cushioning. My joints hurt playing outside.

bro i have to disagree on the gt jumps, the grooves started to literally peel from the outsole after like 2 weeks of use (training only) on hardwood. If you want an outdoor gt jumps, get zions...

Picked up precision 6 for $65 from Kohl's. Tread looks sturdy and wide. Not the most cushion though. I also want the immortality. Looked good in store. Did not have my size. Will order online from nike or east bay. Cheers

This is the first tier list i disagree with you becaus there are was better options than that like the puma clyde all pro or puma triple oder nike precision 5 and they are way cheaper like 20 to 70 € . The adidas shoes are good though
