The exact wording should be, Hairfall vs Hairloss... The ultimate effect of Hairloss is Balding.... Hairfall is temporary and can be fixed easily by examining the cause and working on it... Hairfall is mainly caused due to certain harmonal changes, disease, stress, dandruff etc... Where as Hairloss is permanent which cannot be fixed except for hair transplant, you can just postpone the Hairloss (balding) by taking some medicines (Minoxidil, Finastride) but you can't treat Hairloss... The only permanent solution is hair transplant... Hairloss is genetic and it is due to DHT Hormone which stick to Hair Follicles and block the Blood flow thereby causing miniaturizing...

My father and grandfather both has more hairs than me. My mother side also everyone has no hair fall problem. My mama and nana has very dense hair. In my case I don't think its genetic. My hair started falling when I went to Indore for higher studies at the age of 17. I think reason could be hard water from bore well. And after 7 years when I moved to Mumbai my hair was still falling.
