It's quite hilarious that he chips in 'Mo gbọ́ mo yà'. They are the ones that spice up the parties. Nice one.

Walahi! Great to see the beautiful Hausa/Fulani bride. Usually anytime anything about Nigeria is featured, they always showcased Yoruba/Igbo/Bini/Edo/Ijaw and some other Sothern cultures. Hausa/Fulani and other Northern cultures are too often left out. Kudos to this channel for that inclusion.

Yoruba people created the asoebi culture the Igbos are known for the enormous spraying of money..
@gardensteps5 ай бұрын
Spraying started with the Yoruba culture as well. But all cultures do it now. I really love the cohesiveness of all the cultures. Like the Igbo Omugwo. Yoruba people do it too, not elaborate like the Igbos do it though. The Yorubas didn't have a name for it, so everybody calls it omugwo now.

@@gardensteps No, the Yoruba has a name for the Igbo omugwo and it's called Ọ̀LỌ̀JỌJỌ

@@anurikaonyejiuwa2939 Oh no! You are wrong!! Money spraying was started by the Yoruba. It has always been so at Owambe parties.
@gardensteps4 ай бұрын
@@anurikaonyejiuwa2939 Some tidbits copied online for you.... 👇🏼 "The origins of money-spraying in Nigeria are intertwined with the rich history of traditional Yoruba music, which embodies the Yoruba culture of praise poetry, oriki. Central to the role of money spraying in modern owambe culture is juju music, a style of Yoruba popular music derived from gangan (talking drums) and percussion instruments, and which played a foundational role in the global popularity of contemporary Nigerian music."

It is obvious that this channel content creator is using only one tribe to show Nigeria which is manipulated to showcase that tribe. If you must talk about Nigeria you must ensure you represent all tribe very clearly don’t try to indirectly promote Yoruba styles because it is becoming obvious. You will lose authenticity!
@daniellewalker39434 ай бұрын
Nah, that’s not fair. This creator did their research and came up with this based on that. Plus, they even added that there are many ethnicities in Nigeria, but they’d focus on the well known three. I see no wrong done here tbh cause you can’t expect it to be perfect.
