Күн бұрынWhat a great day down here at Meremere Dragway, south of Auckland - New Zealand with Competition Meeting 4, featuring a wide variety of vehicles and classes to keep the audience entertained and for the racers to stretch their legs before the racing season ends.
This event was postponed from last month, the anticipation has grown to come witness the amazing display from Wild Bunch NZ, our very own Doorslammer racing series, here partaking in a new great initiative called "Last Man Standing".
These guys are addicted to speed and great banters, you're gonna need a new set of hearing aids by the time you finish binge watching this video. Not to mention the additional Alcohol and Nitro Funny Cars, Super Saloons and Competition Cars which are making an appearance too.
Lots of new PBs, new cars and racers together united under the same flag...Drag Racing!
Huge Thanks goes to the Meremere Dragway track officials, volunteers, fire fighters and first responders for yet another amazing event and most of all...accidents free!

Lol that Challenger redeye got beat by the rs3 in the knockout . And the run after that the Harrys Euro rsr got a 9.9 second quarter mile. Wasn't even in the video

I look at all the power adder crap and think why is it so slow when my 3300lb all steel Valiant road car ran 10.0s ......33 years ago...🤣. with a 440 Mopar , NO power adder apart from INDY heads, with a full interior, 9sec road cars are as simple as falling out of a tree with the store bought stuff you can buy today🤣 LOL. ,

I'm sure there's a lot more details to be discussed in terms of which cars you're referring to, ability of the driver, weather conditions and quality of the track. I understand your comment, just probably needs more clarifications, that's all.

@@musclecars.universe I raced in the first Street Eliminator series at Santa Pod on the old track, our cars had to do a 25 mile drive to the fuel station and hot start in 30 sec to prove they were real cars, remember, this was in 1991, its the same over here now, power adder cars that think they are fast running 10s...3 decades later, no one can be arsed to build an N/A engine today...because its too hard, just add boost, only my opinion but I feel I could come back and piss building an engine with a single dominator on it and run 9s....I only see "lazy, box ticked, arrive in the mail hp" easy.

Yes they are! It's a standardd quarter mile with speed traps, 60 feet and so on. Speeds are in mph too
