The best part was the rocking hug the teacher gave the student after saving her life. Seeing this act of love gives me profound hope against all of the bad news I saw. I’ve seen a lot in my life but people really are generally good.

My brother died last June from a methamphetamine overdose. My heart still hurts so badly. I like what this sheriff is saying. He's right, folks need rehabilitation, not locked up for years and years. Otherwise, you are not fixing the issue. I wrote judges on my brother's behalf. I begged them for help to get him rehabilitation. They didn't even have the decency to respond. We live in a small town area. They could have reached out to me. My brother is gone now. And there is nothing I can do to get him back now.

I think there is a difference between fleeing your country due to cartel or living standards and being in the middle of a genocide where you are bombed every day. It makes sense to let as many Ukrainians in as possible, they should take priority

That's the problem. Priority. "Certain people" believe they have priority over established processes, systems, and laws. Okay, the Ukrainians made it to Mexico. They are out of Ukraine. Now get in the back of the line with the others who are being vetted to cross into the US. I don't mean to sound insensitive. I pray for them and their land. But we won't have a world of peace until EVERYONE is treated with the same fairness, decency, and respect.

@@earl5022 I see what you’re saying but there is also that piece where Ukrainians have paperwork and documents in order making their crossing faster. Most of them have sponsors and that expedites the process as well. Obviously, the situation is not ideal and it’s worth looking into the logistics but saying it’s racism when you don’t have all the facts - yawn. I’m not saying you as your personally, I’ve just heard that argument a lot.

@@AL-mc9ht You didn't read or see the word racism in my reply. I said "certain people" believe they have priority over established systems, laws, and processes. Whomever fit the shoe, wear it. Your rebuttal is that Ukrainians have paperwork and documents that make their crossing faster. Or sponsors. The people already in line, that's trying to escape the same terror for their lives in different form, they can't get expedited documents? I'm sure they can find sponsors in the US. Again, to me it sounds like a case of "certain people" who think they have priority to circumvent established processes, systems, and laws.

How many police agencies are there again in DC? There are roughly 27 law enforcement agencies with overlapping jurisdiction in Washington, D.C. ! They should be able to catch the shooter.

If his daughter is just selling the drug then maybe she'll listen. but if she's on it that changes everything. I have a son that struggles with meth addiction. AND when he's on it there is no reasoning with him, there is no communicating with him. He is like a completely different person. SO the way he, the sheriff said he told her/his daughter never to do this again, she's not going to listen if she is actually on the drug herself. I hate to tell him that, but it's a facts. My son was in jail for 9 months for a totally different situation, but of course he was off meth while in the jail. When he came out he was clean for about 3 weeks. Then he got back with his ex-girlfriend and of course she's on meth and so of course he went back on it. Association is a huge part of the problem. (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Especially thier women, My probation officer said that as soon as I get off my house arrest and complete those f up anger management classes, I can probably adopt a forteen or fifteen year old orphan girl, from Ukraine. So being really good, and I make sure that I know how to lie right, and to who I lie to knows it.
