I darn well rebooted and started save first time as didn't have enough paragon to convince him and didnt know about his loyalty mission!

I agree that it is a hard thing to do, no denying that. However, the ONLY reason it is a bad choice is that if Wrex is the clan leader, he finds out and tries to kill you, forcing you to shoot him and consequently losing almost all krogan support(he was really pissed). Another reason is that it is not clear how exactly will you "fool" the krogan. I mean, will the females not notice that their children are still dying? That´s pretty stupid if you ask me. The sad truth is that the dalatrass was right. Curing the genophage WILL inevitably end in war. The krogan are fast-breeding, long-living, incredibly resillient and very violent. It is only a matter of time until they overpopulate their own planets(and the ones that will be given to them as a reward). Within a century, they will be desperate for more resources and living space, as their numbers will simply be too high for their territory to sustain. Even if Wrex still was the leader by that time, I doubt he would let his race fall into a civil war again, nor would he impose any radical population control measures. The only suitable course of action from there on is conquest. And frankly, Wrex was one of the few reasonable krogan we have encountered. Most of the others are bloodthirsty warmongers who hate other species or straight up want to see them dead. That is why I chose the control ending. When that time comes, I am gonna be there to put them down myself. And no genophage this time. Complete genocide. Problem solved.

Oh, it was very funny, I don't know what you were on about. She was looking for any way to push her own agenda and that should never be considered acceptable in that line of work. She was dealing with an event that could change humanity in its entirety. It wasn't something minor. Yet still, she became more aggressive with her questioning and tried to push a narrative that wasn't healthy. She was hardly innocent. Of course, punching her is a drastic move. Ignoring her or speaking in such a way she can't really make use of it is infinitely more mature and good. But, surprisingly, that's the paragon thing to do, not the renegade. For some crazy reason, the renegade action is a dick move. I don't understand it. Why would a renegade choice ever be bad?

Agreed. Playing multiple playthroughs, I always thought male Shep is more suited for a paragon run, while FemShep is better as renegade.

It is often like that. During Samara´s recruitment mission, you encounter a mercenary asari named Elnora. She swears that she only pretended to shoot and is innocent. You can either shoot her or let her go. Later you discover that she was a murderer and was proud of it. If you are too trusting, her future victims blood will be on your hands. Also, the "secretary" on Virmire was actually a scientist. She performed experiments on sentient beings, mainly the captured salarians, reducing them into drooling piles of meat. People like that never change, better kill her.

I know that and I always shoot her too. my point was just that the Virmire secretary comes across as much more genuine, imo anyway. I even have killed Ashley on multiple play throughs. The only person I could never imagine shooting is Mordin. You would seriously need to be worse than Hitler to kill Mordin

For me, there was never any reason to kill Ashley/Kaidan(killing your friend just for the heck of it just seems stupid to me). I was always able to talk them down, so why kill them? Seems like a waste. I killed Mordin once. It felt kinda bad, and even worse when Wrex came for me and I had to kill him, too. The whole "lie to the krogan" thing is pretty stupid anyway. I mean, how will they not notice? Only 0.1% of children surviving birth is a pretty significant problem. I think that the females would notice if their children simply kept dying. They would find out pretty quickly anyway, so what is the point in lying? If there was a way to actually fool the krogan however, I would have done it in a heartbeat, even if it meant killing Mordin(which is why I did it with Wreav as leader/convinced him to leave if Eve died). The risk is simply too high. I killed the Rachni queen for the same reason. That is why I chose Control ending every time I cured the genophage. When the krogan get uppity again, and they will, I will still be there to exterminate them myself.

Ashley is just annoying and bitches about everything. I naturally play as a renegade, and in the third game, at the start, she just second guesses everything I say. I honestly am not sure if I would even call her a friend. She is an overly conservative racist. aka-someone I have no time for. Honestly, it was kind of a relief when I shot her, I was just like "Thank god she is gone" And still, even in death, she needed to get the last word in.

I understand the reasoning. I still see it as a waste though. If you really don´t want her in your life, just talk her down and send her off to Hackett afterwards. That way, she can still be useful without annoying you. Killing a Spectre for no reason other than "she is bitchy" is not a strategically sound decision IMO.
