Daisy is a mixed bag, some like her, some despise her, but one thing that dissapoints me is that she's still not a true mainstream character in the Mario series. Daisy has existed since 1989 and sadly only had one major role, after that she's just a spinoff character, while Rosalina appears in mainstream games due to her vital role in Super Mario Galaxy. But Daisy, her kingdom and why she wasn't a main character from her 1st game is a mystery. Daisy really deserves a main role & more main game appearance to show that she's not just a side character, but a piece that makes the Mario franchise whole.

They filled Mario Kart 8 with Metal Mario, Pink Gold Peach and Baby Rosalina and left out Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr. ... Sereiously... they placed all the Koopalings in there but left out Bowser Jr... WHY?! xD Kamek would have been a great character as well... why do they have to come up with fillers? There are thousands of important and reasnable characters...

Daisy isn't unneeded, she just simply needs more attention from Nintendo in order to have plot convenience. And let's just justify that she has much more personality than peach or rosalina. In other words...bring back Sarasaland, and Daisy, make a game out of it, boom- done!

My theory is that Waluigi isn't Wario's real brother but a tennis player Wario hired to act as a counter-Luigi for the tournament, a role which Waluigi or whatever his real name over-embellished.

I loved Daisy since I was a little kid because I loved her energy and because she wasn't "the perfect girl" like I guess Peach is meant to be... so she is still pretty special to me

Well, the kings didn't really lose or needed better bodyguards. All of Mario 3 is a stage play. The Koopalings are Bowser's children in that game. And Boomboom has spikes. (They probably removed it because scary but I count it anyways). I don't like Waluigi. Wario's name was unique. Since putting M upside turns into a W which makes it unique. Waluigi doesn't have that. I agree with Number 1 except with nobody wanting to play with Joe. Everyone can relate to average Joe

I do like how Baby Rosalina has a brownish-black star, like a brown dwarf, which basically a baby star that hasn't aggregated enough mass or energy to shine on its own. a nice touch, Nintendo!

Well, agree with everything except #7, honestly Daisy is not unneded, at least she was in SML and without her we can't have Wario and Waluigi today. Also she's developed a lot after 2000 and apparently she's a main ( I've read this in a Super Mario magazine). Daisy appear in over 50 games.

Metal Mario is one of my favorite Mario characters. Baby Rosalina was made because there was a Baby Peach and Baby Daisy. Daisy was made for Luigi. And Honey Queen needs to be on this list

On a side note, though, I would love to see Peach and Daisy go on adventures together in a spinoff! ) (...This will be me rant about Daisy and comparing her to Peach, so you should stop reading if you don't like that or just want to comment about me being wrong without any reason. That thing I said about Daisy and Peach is the only positive thing here, you have been warned plenty) You guys overestimate how important Daisy is. Even without her, the idea of an opposite (Wario) and his partner (Waluigi) aren't very hard to come across. Besides that, she has no other influence that would disprove this ranking. Just because she "caused" the creation of a couple characters doesn't mean she deserves to be in the top ten when many other characters deserve it as well. Not to mention, someone commented Daisy should be one spot above Peach (on the most needed characters list) simply due to this. First off, if Daisy created Wario then Peach created Daisy, so that already disproves this. Second, Peach is the (after Pauline) original damsel that has stayed through countless years as a staple outside of spinoffs, meanwhile Daisy has appeared only once outaide of spinoffs and she was basically a clone of Peach then. So how is Daisy just barely more important than the very reason she exists when she appears in way more important titles? This is why I dislike Daisy, her fans massively overrate her. Again, although this is hypocritical please don't leave comments about how wrong I am that have no reason behind them. Comment how dumb I am instead, because I love being called a Loser. :)

In my opinion, Waluigi is the best Nintendo character.

I disagree for Piranta, Daisy, Waluigi, and Baby Rosalina. Daisy and Waluigi are well-used in Mario spin off games, but in Super Mario series they are criminally underused. Pianta and Baby Rosalina are criminally underused in the whole Mario franchise, they are playable in very few games up to this day. However, I strongly agree for the generic humans in Mario Golf and Mario Tennis. In that case Mario Tennis Power Tour is the worst game, with 30 playable generic human characters and only 6 playable Mario characters. This is something that I can't forgive, many fan-favorite characters in Mario Tennis Power Tour are not playable in favor of fucking humans that are not related to Mario franchise in any way and they are poorly designed, this is very different from Waluigi, Toadette, Baby Daisy, and Baby Rosalina, they are at least designed well to fit with Mario franchise.

Honestly, I find Roselina to be more superfluous than Daisy. I mean, Daisy may be as annoying as all fucking hell, but at least she's been given a character that's all her own. Roselina is pretty much just Space Peach. It's been years since the Mario Galaxy games have been relevant and if we're being brutally honest here, Roselina never did anything to warrant her popularity.
